Indeed, at first glance it's an extremely similar take on Gears of War: The title character Syd is a burly man wearing heavy armor and carrying a gun larger than the average Rottweiler. What makes things different and oh-so-Japanese is the presence of his partner, a lithe female named Filena who carries a petite handgun but makes up for it by being magical. She also sports a sword for powerful close-quarters combat. Although capable of independent action, she can be summoned at will and thrown across the room like a javelin. The two characters also have a "combination attack" that is potentially quite devastating.

Nah most of the Soulslike games turned out pretty good. Probably the only one I didn't much like was Immortal Unchained.

with Quantum Theory, I played the demo and was not impressed. I felt like they were trying to mix Gear of War with Lost Planet, and didn't do either very well. May be someone who never played either would have a blast with it though.
Yeah, I played the demo too but couldn't finish it....the thought of therapy was too much lol
I followed this game forever until I finally came out. I got it and loved every bit of it. Originally supposed to be a PS3 exclusive. It got horrible reviews and I didn't understand any of them. They must've been playing a different game then me!
Wired is obviously a bunch of 360 fanboys. Quantum Theory will be one of the greatest games of all time. Anybody who says differently is delusional 360 fanboy.
