Rumor: Alpha Protocol Delayed

Originally, the list of games to be released this month was huge.

morganfell6027d ago

Looks like Sony's playtest results carries some major weight. For all the dev teams' comments, the publisher apparently chose Sony's take on this title.

gaffyh6027d ago

I was looking forward to this and Borderlands next month :(, now there's one less WRPG too look forward too next month.

"Looks like Sony's playtest results carries some major weight. For all the dev teams' comments, the publisher apparently chose Sony's take on this title."

If that's true it means the developers were in denial. I doubt one person from Sony could do much to stop a multiplatform game from being released. Maybe the guy from Sony was the only one who would admit the game has problems. You don't delay a game six or more months because of one report.

He said it was too hard, and "not enough RPG" when he only played an hour of a 30 hour game.

That's cool. This will be an awesome summer title.
And it will be better with six extra months of dev time.

Slient Knight 96027d ago

oh man not another one, as long as it turns out great don't mind the wait, but seriously my wallet is going to take a bashing next year with all these games coming out.

foxtheory6027d ago

I saw this coming when Sega announced their games for TGS and this wasn't one of them.

blu_yu_away6027d ago

Was afraid of this after that Sega leak earlier. Oh well, I was losing interest in this after hearing it would only be roughly 25 hours and didn't feel like an RPG. Another 6 months of additional developement time could work wonders for this game.

One of the few 7th gen game that I'll full heartedly support for a remake.
Its a very unique RPG and deserves its faults fixed the 2nd time.

TheNamelessOne639d ago

I would be so for this. Alpha Protocol is the definition of a diamond in the rough. Before being acquired by Microsoft, Obsidian presented their ideas for a sequel, multiple times, but were always shot down. Even something simple like a remaster is very unlikely.

ZeekQuattro638d ago

Still have a physical copy for my PS3. Clunky at times but I had a lot of fun with it back in the day.

Had some issues but that game was brilliant.

SheenuTheLegend764d ago

all the games in the above list are bang on. this is the only reason we need backwards compatibility and physical presense of games for the upcoming future, no matter what.

Yi-Long765d ago

Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.

melons765d ago

yes! incredible rain effects; so good to drive along in rain with your Spotify playlist blaring

Skuletor765d ago

I really wanted a MotorStorm using the same engine, Driveclub is easily one of the best looking games on PS4 and I'm surprised they didn't even give it a PS4 Pro patch.

ravens52764d ago

Yes indeed. May just install it on my PS5. You know, physical copy and all.

monkey602764d ago

I adored Driveclub and the Bike expansion. I also loved Motorstorm. Evolution shutting down was a crime

Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.

Skuletor765d ago

I have quite a few of these. Timed licenses suck.

Terry_B764d ago (Edited 764d ago )

wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.

Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.
