PS3-Sense writes: It's pretty obvious that there will be some news about the Motion Controller coming from the Tokyo GameShow 2009. Today a new video showing the controller in combination with Resident Evil 5 scratches the surface. We can't translate all the Japanese language, but the video most likely speaks for itself.

Circana data shows Resident Evil 5 as the best selling Resident Evil game in the US, ahead of Resident Evil 4 remake and Village.
So the most successful RE is the one where a white man is killing Africans.
This can't be real.

New leaks from Dusk Golem detail cancelled Resident Evil projects, including a Rebecca focused Revelations game, while stating no Resident Evil 5 remake is in development.
Capcom's willingness to invest in experiments and scrap them sets them apart form many other developers (Nintendo have a similar methodology). Far too often companies push a game setting or game mechanic that is just not that good and the final product is middling or poor.

Dusk Golem claims a Resident Evil 5 remake is not coming this year, with a Code Veronica remake expected instead.
Hopefully if and when they do a RE5 remake, they give it the RE3 remake treatment, because this is certainly one title that I don't want a faithful remake of.
I've been thinkingabout this a lot overnight and no matter how I do it I can't see how using the DS works very well. My kids just can't manage it in one hand and as a lefty it isn't any good for me(I hold a Wii nunchuck in my right hand)-even my right handed wife thinks it's a bad idea.
So unless there's going to be an analogue stick holding peripgeral then this seems dead to me when Wii has simply a better pair of controllers=-no matter how coold the wand is it cvannot cover the drawbacks of using the DS in one hand-so why no prototype for this role?
I imagine a deal could easily be done with the makers of the Frag FX or similar to do the job(maybe that would even work using the analogue stick half of that but it would be pretty dear)so I just hope Sony are listening to the many fans who see this as a paoblem and sort it out otherwise all their R&D will be a waste. If Ninty can manage to get it right I'm sure MS will and Sony have to know this isn't the answer even if the savings are attractive. It would leave theirs as the most unfriendly to new gamers and therefore likely to fail when the core gamer is usually not even interested in MC.
Honestly, does anyone know if Sony are fixing this? At the minute it just looks amateur and feels rubbish.
This is kind of a lame video. It doesn't really show the controller doing anything the Wii hasn't already done with RE4.
bobdole - actually it will provide true 1:1 motion control something which not even wii-motion plus offers.
the way this thing work will really improve next gen shooters the way the Wii fails to do. i do hope the make a bluetooth nunchuck-like controller though, it would suck to have to hold a controller. the sixaxis is light but the Dualshock is heavier to hold. I hope it comes to Killzone 2/MW2 in a patch when it comes out. Natal is neat and all, but i love that the way the controller works can actually put a 3D object in your hand on video and have truest 1:1 possible. this will suit better. natal seems to work best with party games and racers. i hope they improve the look of this and call it the DildoShocker!
Including playing real hardcore games using motion controlls.
haha eat your hearts out, xbots.
Play beyond. Play motion.
