Update on Home 1.3

Ever since Sony announced Home 1.3 would hit in September, fans of the service have been waiting anxiously for it to drop. Unfortunately, 1.3 is not going to hit today, but one of the Home Managers, CydoniaX, has provided us with an update.

This was pretty much expected, lol.

RememberThe3576103d ago

How many people are really working on this thing. The way things go it seems like a rather small team.

xTruthx6103d ago

@Remember

This is all free, y should they make this a high priority when their not even getting payed 4 it. We are just waiting for something free, we didn't pay 4 it.

whothedog6103d ago (Edited 6103d ago )

well they should make it somewhat high if they promised a certain something was going to be available at a certain time.

ALSO they are definitely making some money on virtual items, they are not that hard to make and put a small price tag on them suckas!

but I rather themz wait and release a update with no bugs than a sooner update with bugs. YA MEAN!

EDIT: If you disagree with me it means you hate my rock hamster smoking a cigarette avatar. Don't hate on the hamster.

Ninjamonkey6102d ago

Actually its not free. I paid a lot of money at launch for my ps3, money which has gone into Home.

we paid for all the services on the ps3 from sony when we bought the console, so they do have a responsibility to get things done quickly and to a high standard.

xTruthx6102d ago

@Ninjamonkey i believe your wrong. You payed for what the list of the ps3 box said. No where did it say Home. You payed for a blu ray, gaming console and a free PSN account.

zeeshan6102d ago

For HOME to become a major interest point for PS community, there need to be a lot more mini-games. Every Space should have some type of HELP system where you'd know what you need to do. Like I visited Red Bull space and I was so damn confused as to what it was about. Anyway, if Sony could add a lot of mini-games then I can bet that you'll see a lot of gamers fequently visiting HOME.

this is the same thing they said with the socom update. all these delays are getting on my nerves. i no im not a developer but i mean come on don tel us till its freakn ready

LukaX236103d ago

That's 2 examples. You're very impatient if you're getting tired of all these "delays". Are you a Microsoft troll? ;-) http://www.thesixthaxis.com...

taint6103d ago

@negrito211

Socom: Confrontation? Warhawk? These are online only games. No campaign. So instead of just buying Xbox Live for $29/year, you'd rather pay $40 for Socom, and $30 for Warhawk for online only experiences. Hmm, this seems like a backdoor way of making you play on PSN for 'free'.

Dignan6103d ago

After you pay for live, all the games are free. I just walk in a store and when security stops me with games in my hand, I just say "xboxlive fool" and keep on walking.

darkvenom6103d ago

need to hurry and open more areas,how about MGS interactive place or God of war?

LukaX236103d ago

Way to steal hits. The story should have been linked here: http://boardsus.playstation...

Could someone tell me what home is again? ;)

;)

taint6103d ago (Edited 6103d ago )

It says here that it's been live since December 11, 2008. That's hard to believe. Oh wait, no it's not. It's just a sad excuse for an online virtual world that tries to sucker you in to buy fake couches in a fake apartment. $5 for a 'virtual' couch? Really "$"ony? I thought we were only supposed to put it in M$'s name. I guess things change when you're desperate.

ReservoirDog3166103d ago

Just don't use it and don't think about it. The people who buy couches and stuff just like throwing their money away. Don't feel sorry for them.

whothedog6103d ago (Edited 6103d ago )

Mehm mehm mehm

Are you really trying to turn a FREE service into a bad thing?

They don't make you buy couches to play...

taint6103d ago (Edited 6103d ago )

@ReservoirDog316

Agreed.

@ZombieAutopsy

So why is either company worse? Why is it always M$ and not $ony? Why is Microsoft always labeled the money hungry monopolistic capitalist pig when Sony pulls the same crap just in different ways? I'm not trying to start a flamewar.

It's the same with the whole ODST argument. Microsoft sells what the market wants. They'll put out 43 more Halo games if there's money to be spent on them. If the market doesn't demand Halo, the market won't get Halo.

ZombieAutopsy6103d ago (Edited 6103d ago )

you know MS does it too right with their avatars, i personally think theyre both stupid but hey some people dig that kind of stuff.

oh im not saying anyone is worse but it seemed like you were attacking sony for it but ignoring the fact ms does it too, hell im sure nintendo does it somehow also.

Kyur4ThePain6103d ago (Edited 6103d ago )

He's just stirring sht. Ignore him.

So, I Finally Played Home

I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.

I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.

Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
