I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks of Gears of War when I see this. Partly the reason why I want this game. I hope it isn't bland when it comes out.

Was that Gears 3? LOL Seriously they are pretty close to emulating Gears of War, it looks the same other than a few atheistic changes.

Hopefully it won't have terrible online like Gears 2 though...

love the weapons, but boy is it dark or what. All I seen on some of the screens was a big black shadow of a bad guy, hopefully the brighten it up a notch.

the characteras do look like gears characters but the combat and dynamic cover look way better then gears 2.

idk if it's because of how stellar games like Uncharted 2 and GoW3 look, but the graphics just don't do it for me, Tecmo's graphics in general look dated... but I'll still rent it when it comes out though, and if the game play is exceptionally good, I'll pick it up when it's cheap enough

I was so pumped for this game when the first trailer came out but the more I see the less i'm interested, it's pretty much off my radar completely now.

This game is looking better and better everytime i see it. Cant wait to see the guns and brute force mixed with magic and aliens, that will awesome! Will be buying this one! Hopefully i wont miss kill.switch as much after this haha.

Yup looks like Gears. I enjoyed both Gears so Ill look into this, hopefully though it does have a better story than GeOW.

well duh it's a gears rip off. Even the developers know that. Just like Dainties Inferno is a GOW ripoff.. But the thing is.. if they can do it well then why should we complain? But all games get inspiration from another. Just some more than others.. LIke this and dainties inferno. But Dainties inferno looks like a carbon copy. I see this game setting it's own course.

I liked Gears one. Maybe the developer is trying to "penetrate" the Japanese audience to like Western based games.

OK, after just coming from the other, rather uninspired movie, this makes things look a lot better... STILL WANT!

Still seems to look faster than gears which is most important to me. Looks like it's gonna be a pretty fun multiplayer!

Because Gears came out first, everything using the same engine will 'look' like it. If this came out before Gears then everyone would be saying the opposite.

Take Dark Sector, Batman AA, Army of Two, Mass Effect. They're all basically the same game, they just use a different style of graphics.

Besides this, what's wrong with it looking like Gears anyway? Obviously Gears is exclusive to 360 so what's wrong with giving PS3 owners a similar type of game? There's nothing like it currently on PS3.

I'll never understand why people shoot down games just because they 'look' a bit like something else. It's inevitable that any game will look a bit like another one. This is how games evolve and get better.

So instead of complaining about it being a rip off, why not look for the things it does differently. Try to spot the things that you haven't seen before.

this game is more towards a fantasy like future whereas GeOW2 is based on a dooms day type of future but anyway's this game looks like total crap.

Just because it's a GeOW2 rip-off doesn't mean you have to make it look like GeOW2.

Gears similarity is not even funny, but I like Gears so I might give this a rent.
