Examiner: Valkyria Chronicles is one of the best exclusive games on the Playstation 3. For that reason, many fans were upset to learn that Valkyria Chronicles II is only coming to the PSP. Sega isn't completely shutting down the door to another Valkyria Chronicles game for the Playstation 3 just yet, however.

I think VC II has a much better chance of selling more then VC because first off the install base for the PSP is larger and 2nd the game has gotten alot of press because or various reasons like how it's a incredible exclusive title and how the first one was so under rated. Also the anime should help quite a bit to drum up some sales.

Everyone here should be buying a copy if only to ensure the series continues.

i agree. i'd buy it a lot faster than i did the first game if there's another one coming out on ps3. i caught up with the anime today. not as good as the game, but still enjoyable.

I picked up Valkyria Chronicles a couple nights ago at Walmart for $20! I've read nothing but good things about this game and once I get my platinum in inFamous I'll see what the fuss is about. Come on, help support SEGA for making what many consider one of the best RPGs of this generation so they will feel more inclined to add trophies and consider a sequel for the PS3.

Valkyria Chronicles is easily one of my top games of this entire generation thus far. It'd be a shame if any sequel didn't get a PS3 release. I'm just not interested in handheld gaming enough to buy a DS or PSP. But if a VC sequel is ever released on the PS3, it'll be a day 1 purchase for me.

Completely agreed here, with both Yakuza and this information. I have a feeling, NA/EU sales for Yakuza 3 will be the deciding factor in if they continue localization for the series. It would also be very cool to see a PSP Yakuza. I could really get behind that.

Moving the series to PSP (temporarily I hope) was the absolute best move sega could make. They are almost guaranteed solid sales in Japan at least, they are crazy about handhelds and are crazy for RPGs. The other really smart thing about it is that it lets people "miss" the series on PS3 and gives it more hype and anticipation, which is something the series could use.

Marketing is something Sega really needs for the next one on PS3, could still turn into something big, you never know.

I really would love to have VC back on the PS3. I will still get VC2 on PSP hopefully it has some sort of special connectivity with PS3 like being able to bring in some your recruits over to the PSP.

This is the first time i've heard the sequal wont be on PS3 and I have the following to say.

"To every PS3 owner who does not have Valkyria Chronicals, you are a disappointment. This is probably the best RPG this gen and you ignored it. Now I miss the sequal. I hate you."

Wont get it on psp, as I dont believe the graphics or gameplay will do justice to the original. Which i am still to finish.
