Microsoft's Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Game Studios - Shane Kim - has revealed that, among other things, he doubts that Sony can achieve its online Home network for PlayStation 3; that third-party exclusives are a things of the past; that Windows Live is the most important thing he's working on.
Speaking to Shacknews at a Halo 3 event, Kim let slip he has, "spent some time with the Linden Lab guys [developers of Second Life]. To try to build Second Life on Xbox Live --or YouTube, Facebook, any of those big social networking services and sites--it's a lot of work".

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Seems like Sony is going to pull it off. 'HOME' is here to stay.

EDIT: @wurwag (below)
hmmm... but i don't think he met them because there's an island there... it just goes two ways from here... if MS comes out with "Home"-like feature for Live, i will be right, if it doesn't come out then, i'll be proven wrong. fair enough?
but i still think they copy!
We'll have to see how this plays out.
- When MS said "We can't wait to see Sony pull of a world-wide system launch" - Sony didn't
- When MS said "It's good to have 2 SKUs" - Sony did that too
- When MS said "Rumble is cool" - Sony's bringing it back
Only time will tell;) I hope it rocks because my PS3 is collecting dust at the moment:(
What is stated in the article, is just that he would think it's hard to get some sort of Second Life on the excisting great Xbox Live network, thus it would be extremely hard to get it on Sony's less quality network that's already there, if not impossible.
It's not at all that they will implement some sort of Second Life on 360. I hope they won't. I am into the game console for playing the games that I like and buy and get them as easy into multi online playing circumstances and features. Not to go walk in a world dance like a moron, and play some arcade games but having no unified friendlist, not playing co-op on the newest game like 360 owners can.
I think overall he is very clear on this matter. Home, nice gimmick, good to draw some 'positive' attention to the PS3 again, although they still first have to release it and make all the promisses true.
Lets see: Sony said they would offer something equal as XBL @ PS3 launch. They clearly didn't. Have we seen any game that offers instant jumping in co-op with your friends in the story mode from any game on the PS3 up till now? Have we?
Do you got all the downloadable demo's that the 360 had?
GRAW 2?
Blacksite: Area 51?
Others?
Nope Sony fans you didn't. So it's far, far off the XBL network for sure
i wudnt like it, but it wud show me all the immature people on this website that i have to ignore. . . .
hi nix!
