I think we all agree, farcry was and is a very sweet looking game.

I remember when it came out, most people struggled to run it when inside the caves etc, alot of slowdown for peeps, nice pixel shaders. People looked abit plastic( i must prefer hl2 for that part) I also prefer hl2 weapons and movement, although farcry did this well enough.

The graphics outside were and still are very very sweet. I've still got the game, multiplayer i found lacking though.

And when they released the hdr patch, it looked even better.

Ah yes because that will save this stale series.

They could potentially save the series by taking that big budget and using it to focus on a new, high quality concept for the franchise, nothing else is going to do it. All concentrating on MP will achieve is to kill it off quicker.

This CEO is so out of touch, and cluess. People want a enjoyable single player campaign, and memorable villains. No one ask for multiplayer to be pushed and shoved in.

Only reason I love Far Cry is because it gives me that open world sandbox shooter experience in a SP story-driven game with lots of freedom. I have -zero- interest in a MP Far Cry.

But hey, I’m sure these suits know best … (!)

If they want to create a MP game, just make one. But they shouldn’t need to use and destroy the Far Cry IP to do so …

Far Cry will be somehow be more boring. Astonishing.
