Woohoo! Another exclusive!
I love the original Soldner-X!

N4GAddict6097d ago

Aside from the great graphics, the original was ok. Hopefully the sequel can improve on the first game.

Njaice! Looking forward to gameplay trailers

ExgamerLegends26097d ago

I barely beat the first one on the easiest difficulty. The only thing i really didn't like about the game is that there's a shared health bar in co-op. Other than that it was loads of fun even though i constantly got my butt handed to me.

I need to hurry up and get a new ps3.

Ju6097d ago

I liked the first one, even though its dog hard for me, but its a particle monster.

720p was disappointing, that why I was looking forward to this:

Quote: "High definition graphics with 3D backgrounds in up to 1080p."

I'm glad someone uses old school classic side scrollers and still squeezes todays HW. That's what I was so hoping for back in 86 (or so :) Turrican says "Hello").

AntoineDcoolette6097d ago

If the graphics, sound track, and game play are as solid as the first definite freaking buy! And this is really a PS3 exclusive? They aren't even making a PC version to release on steam?:( Would like it on multiple platforms just so more people can experience it.

ThanatosDMC6097d ago

If it is on Steam, then yeah it's not an exclusive. Saying otherwise will make us hypocrites.

PSN had an updated version with little changes for a fraction of it's price. Loved many things about it. It's not too easy, it's chaotic. Music was intense. Bosses were insanely challenging. Bright visuals. Weapon upgrades.

My main gripe was not being able to reach the edge of the screen. If you die, weapons suck. Bit like Gradius.

Stop wasting your time here bots. It wont be on the failbox. ;)

I LOVED the first game, but thought it tended to be a b1t cheap in regards to level design and difficulty. I'm happy to hear that the first game did well enough that they are planning a sequel to it -- exclusive to the PS3, no less. That is a BIG investment, even these days.

I'll definitely be buying the sequel; I mean, I have to give my thanks to the developers for continuing their quality PS3 support, right?

lightningsax6097d ago

Agreed! It looked a lot better than it played last time around, and it seemed like a ramped-up freeware endeavor. I remember playing it and immediately wanting to play the sequel- I would think they will have much less trouble with the graphics end and hopefully incorporate more traditional shmup rules -especially with tiny insects not taking a billion hits to kill.
