1 male minority, 2 males, 1 female vs 1 minority(male), 2 males, 1 female.... same game.

3sq6104d ago

So true, it's not worth $50. I do still feel rip-off from the original L4D, only 4 campaigns. If you really do want to play this game, wait for the discount on steam.

HDgamer6104d ago

Or have friends at gamestop or rapidshare <3

Gregmonk6104d ago (Edited 6104d ago )

1 racist comment, 1 who agrees with it, one who does not want to spend 60$ on a game, and another who leeches off of friends that work in gaming retail to play said game.

yep, this place is looking mighty good. Why even comment on a game you dont feel is worth the price? Many people do, including myself and seing your biased opinions hurts my eyes, and my heart...why?

HDgamer6104d ago

I'm black and well when you look at that game it is kinda racist. But then again thats reading into it too much. Also I don't really have to leech there since as of today I work there. Then it's my opinion that this game isn't worth the price simply because it's going to be short. if it was near 30 then yeah it's worth the money. But then again you're biased as hell.

Gregmonk6104d ago (Edited 6104d ago )

Ok, is this where I say that I'm white? No, cause no one cares. Who cares if you are black. To me, you are just a guy who likes games and talks about it on a gaming forum. And by the way, we all have our biases, once you accept that you might stop being so miserable spreading your hate and misery across the universe and the world. The ants man, think about the ants, they have feelings also. Why cant we just get along an stop attacking the mother hen? Lets all make omelets, together.

anyways, you are biased as hell.

I think this game will be worth the 60$ Its short on single player, yeah, but who plays L4D for single player anyways?

HDgamer6104d ago (Edited 6104d ago )

Hate and misery? Are you crying because we don't like the fact that this game offers very little for a premium price? I have some vaginalsil for you. The multiplayer, well let's face it the multiplayer is the same. Nothing different pretty much repetitive.

Gregmonk6104d ago (Edited 6104d ago )

Hate and misery? more like ants and hens. I think you are just mad because you are actually taking this place seriously. I mean did you guys read his bio? like wtf?

6104d ago

6104d ago
Gregmonk6104d ago

You took it seriously by responding. Why so mad? Is it the N4G thing to do, think we are all serious?

You have no idea what or who I am, and to be honest, I thought the little pet shop joke was a little to much. I seriously hope you get to realize all of your dreams in this industry we all love to love...or is it hate?

Now go dance in a thread you care about, this one is pretty much done.

sorry mods, dont ban me, I was nice, kinda...

MagicAccent6104d ago (Edited 6104d ago )

I wonder how the game would be recieved if all the protagonists where mexican females..

Gregmonk6104d ago

or croatien librarymen? lol

lazy valve where is source 2 engine

Pandamobile6105d ago

You people are retarded. They're not going to start a new engine before the end of the Half-Life 2 series. It will come after Episode 3.

kaveti66166104d ago

Well, Panda, maybe they've already got to cracking on that new engine. The Source 2 engine will have to compete with Cryengine 3.

Pandamobile6104d ago

Well, yeah, they've probably been screwing around with stuff, but they're not going to do anything with it til after Episode 3 is done.

EpicGamerSwordsman6104d ago

Like pandamobile Stated, it would be unecessary to create a new engine for HL2 Episode 3, The Source engine may be outdated Graphics wise, but still useful for Physics & Gameplay. Thats why Valve still uses it.

But I'm sure I'll learn to appreciate these new guys

but
Louis, Zoey, Francis, and Bill > Coach, Rochelle, Ellis, and Nick

Pandamobile6104d ago

I got mad when Valve changed the character designs of the first batch a couple months before it launched, but it was for the better.

I just hope the new character's dialogue will be as exploitable as the last group.

Louis and his pill addiction, Francis and his hatred of everything (except vests), etc.

OG Left 4 Dead Creator Announces He's Working On A New Multiplayer Shooter

Following Left 4 Dead's undying legacy, the developer of the game shares that a new likewise project is in the works.

ZycoFox273d ago

L4D had potential to be so much more. The issue was that the release of the second game just one year after the first added a decent amount of content which was much needed, then there was nothing except for a few small content updates spread far between.

This is one of the only games I can think of that benefits from a yearly release, or at least a yearly DLC so it doesn't split the player base.

The games just got too samey and lack content.. it's a shame they didn't keep up the pace, I know you can download new maps but it doesn't change the overall game or add new enemies etc.

-Foxtrot272d ago

Regardless of what Valve officially said they didn’t need to do a sequel that fast, things could have easily been added to the original overtime and the sad thing is the characters and atmosphere of the original was better than the sequel. I mean we went from the dark, grim city streets to the sunny south where we are hitting massive menacing tanks with frying pans.

I honestly believe Valve killed it because it was a Turtle Rock game at its core and Valve wanted it to be known as an Valve only IP moving forward

They even brought back the original survivors just to kill one of them off (even though in the original they were heading North to Canada)

JEECE272d ago

Lol L4D2 came out in 2009, and you are saying it should have been a 2020s type live service game. It's just a great game, it doesn't need battle passes and skins.

This attitude is why devs are afraid to make any multiplayer game that isn't a live service.

Jingsing272d ago (Edited 272d ago )

Also in these current economic times live services is just a no go when people are being more frugal with their purchasing power. I don't do any subscription services anymore which means I can't do multiplayer on a console even if I wanted too. Something the console manufacturers should think about if they want to get players to even try their online stuff.

Looking Back At 2008, An Unbelievably Incredible Year Of Video Game Releases

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."

ChasterMies765d ago

Some of these low paid video game “news” writers weren’t born before 2007.

just_looken765d ago

Here here

Those that were around before 2000's i am sure are like me that think we entered a world of non readers or those that follow without question.

I can not wait to see fallout 3 a goty game even though it was about water with non content until you add the dlc/updates then you got the performance/crashing

CrimsonWing69766d ago

I don’t think anything can compare to 2023

lucasnooker766d ago

1998 - the best year in gaming! Metal gear solid, crash bandicoot 3, medievil, half life, ocarina of time, thief, tenchu, resident evil 2, Spyro, tomb raider 3, oddworld abes exodus, banjo kazooie.

It was a different breed of a gaming era. You’ll never understand what it was like back then. The aura of gaming, it was different!

KyRo766d ago (Edited 766d ago )

I second this. Gaming was a lot more varied and fun than it is today. I'm 35 so getting on compared to some here but I got to see all the changes from NES up to now but I've never felt so disappointed in any generation than I have this current gen. I was expecting more from this generation rather than prettier versions of games that came before it. Game mechanics have become so refined that alot of games feel the same and has done for a while now.

Maybe it's time to have a break for a while. I love gaming but I don't feel I get much fun in the traditional sense out of it anymore.

CrimsonWing69766d ago (Edited 766d ago )

Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, Abe’s Exodus, and Ocarina of Time are the only things from that list that I liked.

Here’s the 2023 game releases that I personally liked… and big releases that I didn’t care for:

- Dead Space Remake
- Wo Long Dynatsy
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Diablo 4
- Fire Emblem Engage
- Hogwarts Legcay
- Street Fighter 6
- Hi-Fi Rush
- Like a Dragon: Ishin
- Octopath Traveler 2
- Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters
- Final Fanatsy XVI (actually ended up not liking this, but it was still a big deal release)
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
- Lies of P
- Mortal Kombat 1
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Starfield (Ended up hating this one, but big release)
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (I’m an old-school Zelda fan, but didn’t really enjoy this game)
- Alan Wake 2

I mean, honestly I’ve never seen a year of major IP releases like that, ever.

Profchaos765d ago (Edited 765d ago )

Isn't it just a generational thing realistically.

I've been gaming since way back and I some of my favourite games go as far back as the late 80s for me each generation has a year or two of game changing releases one after another before an inevitable dry spell.

I kind of agree gaming had a different feel games hit different because we didn't have the internet nothing got spoiled and you really had to put in the effort to beat a puzzle which could set entire groups of people looking for a solution. But most importantly games were experimental and not as cookie cutter as today even basics like controls were not universal today r2 is shoot l2 is ads garunteed you can't deviate from that in a shooter back then it could of been square, R1 or R1 and circle nothing was standard.

But as time moves on a new generation picks up their controller they are going to be interested in different things that PS1 demo disc with the t Rex blew our primitive 16 bit brains back on launch but to kids today it's laughable.
The new gen of kids coming into to hobby seem to value different things to us there seems to be a huge focus on online play, streamers, gaming personalities, and social experiences, convience of digital downloads. To me I value none of that but that's ok like my parents not liking the band's I would listen to its just the natural cycle.

Gameseeker_Frampt765d ago

Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.

2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.

just_looken765d ago

It still amazes me we got over 7 rockstar games ps2/ps3 but 3 for the ps3/ps4/ps5

Dragon age 1-3 and mass effect 1-3 in 7ish years what a generation.
