I read the whole artice but didnt understand a thing lol - DOH!!!
It would probably be cheaper and more cost effective to use a PC part, like a 4870/4890 or one of the GeForce 2xx series to do that. More powerful and can give you better bang for the buck. Sure, you can do it, but I wouldn't be using a standard 360 to do that. You know, the GPU is the main cause of RROD in a 360... I wouldn't want to be cramming these calculations for a few hours (days, weeks whatever) and have it break down on me. If you wanted to go to the trouble of using the GPU from a 360, you need to give it adequate cooling. Cheaper to use more readily available, more powerful parts.
the truth is if Xenos is used as a cpu it is a lot faster then a single cell cpu, and it has a 278.gig memory bandwidth MS show the games that matter at TGS the games the dev have been busting there brains on and shut the fanboys up
Umm actually demon..they have been using ps3's for awhile now for this kind of stuff. Its just cheaper to use the xbox, if u read the story you would know about it. Not to mention it's easier for them to program it for the xbox's hardware because its old pc stuff. It also says that in the story so stop your fan boy stuff please.
