Evil Avatar writes: "Wolfenstein has undeniable pedigree in terms of franchise. As the original FPS its place in history is well earned. Most recently Return to Castle Wolfenstein surprised gamers with a fresh update to the classic formula. That formula reads Nazis plus supernatural experiments equals some really messed up enemies. Raven Software have embraced the heritage of the series and gone to work on a brand new outing for B.J Blazcowicz that strains old fashioned gameplay styles to their very limits."
The Good
* Loads of content, especially by current gen standards. Definitely worth buying.
* The supernatural Nazi thing never gets old but plenty of 'normal' guys keeps the more monstrous enemies feeling like genuine threats to your safety.
* Refined, traditional FPS gameplay that rewards the daring and combines some neat special powers.
* Strong presentation throughout with well-suited voice acting.
The Bad
* No real set pieces or particularly impressive moments. Rarely breaks its own mold.
* Can get a little repetitious and doesn't lend itself well to long play sessions.
The Ugly
* A few encounters aren't particularly well balanced which can lead to depressing restarts as the middling A.I. picks you off.
The great thing about being one of the most popular consoles of all-time is that there’s always more underappreciated bangers to spotlight.
I love Enslaved such a sleeper hit, Asuras Wrath a very good game I still own, and I wish EA would put out a new Dante's Inferno another game I enjoyed. I never heard of the Rain game I might have to try it out might give Ebay a snoop or two.
enchanted arms and folklore most definitely.
theres also a game about a red haired guy and a girl who is a sword or something. good game

Sometimes, you want a relatable villain who makes you question your own morality. Other times, you want Frau Engel.
It got old tbh. Machine needed a break from the IP. Indie is a good reprieve.

BLG writes, "There can be only one best Wolfenstein game. Since the franchise’s debut in 1981, the Wolfenstein series has graced our gaming platforms for over forty years. It’s hard to believe, but it’s true! In honor of that legacy, we’re going to list some of the best Wolfenstein games and the worst. That’s right: it’s the Wolfenstein games ranked."
Scheiße! Nein.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein is the best in the series. After that:
New Order
New Colossus
Old Blood
I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
