They both look good .

- the end

Biggunz6083d ago

but the PS3 version does look better.

StanLee6083d ago

I'll wait for a Digital Foundry comparison. You can trust the source of those screen shots.

kevinx10006083d ago

i think they both look pretty bad :>
but PS3 looks better indeed.

...I am your father's, brother's, nephew's, cousin's, former room mate

lowcarb6083d ago

Who cares really this is getting old already. Regardless of which one is better there both close enough to where if you had one console you wouldn't even notice anything.

talltony6083d ago

Are mostly noticable during the cutscenes because bluray has the uncompressed video.

bouncybullet6083d ago

agree. the cutscenes are the majority of these screencaps... and they were all captured on a pc!!!

i've played both. 360 all they way through twice.. ps3 version for 1 hour and had to stop because the lack of AA was hurting my eyes.

360 moves more smooth.

they did a great job with the port!! rocksteady kicks as$.

mastiffchild6083d ago

Who really cares? When was the last time thes "differences" actually made abyone with two consoles change which one they bought a game for?

None of these live up to things like controller preference or, with online games, where your mates game most. The last time I decided to get a mulit plat for the 360 over the PS3 because of performance issues(i.e the difference was appreciable)was back in the Orange Box days!

Since then only Ghostbusters has come close and as there was a huge wait (and a patch closing the gap a little arrived in the meantime) so I got that for the PS in the end anyway(£24!).-seriously, does anyone actually change their console of choice for this?

Real Gambler6083d ago

They already made their own analysis, and give the edge to the PS3 (by not much, but they did...)

StanLee6083d ago (Edited 6083d ago )

Lens of Truth and Digital Foundry aren't the same. Digital Foundry is Rich Leadbetter's site over at Eurogamer.net. He usually has comparisons and face offs of multiplatform games which have been the most technical and unbiased I've seen. I've come to really only rely on his comparisons and not screens or video comparisons of compressed video. Check out his comparison gallery at Eurogamer.

SaberEdge6083d ago

I agree, Digital Foundry's comparisons are the most in-depth. I have played both versions and they both look great. About the same, but there are a few small differences. People should just enjoy whichever version they have.

MGSR THE HD VERSION6083d ago

dumb comparison.

all of the cutscenes in batman were pre-rendered (confirmed by beyond3d), and all of the shots aren't even lined up correctly.

the only shot they got in this stack, that is real-time and perfectly lined up is this one.

Syronicus6083d ago

I am still waiting for the PC version. That PhysX video is amazing.

Information Minister6083d ago

This is a pointless comparison. If someone gave you a PS3 screenshot of the game and told you it was the 360 version, you would most probably believe him without even thinking twice. No need to start a flamewar over this one.

@ stanlee - Like when Digital Foundry decided FFXIII looked and played better on the 360. That wasn't biased at all. /sarcasm

Zeevious6083d ago

...and Kain81

...That means nothing to me...which is what you are about to become!

...I see your Schwartz is as big as mine...

...Now let's see how well you...handle it!

FamilyGuy6083d ago

I mean i read that the PS3 version had the edge but I never checked it out till now, it's so strange. Usually those pictures would literally be on opposite sides, how is it they up'd the PS3s graphics AND lowered the 360s? It would have been nice to look the same on both for once, not that it actually matters or is noticeable while actually playing.

But yeah, this is... strange.
Check out this one, the PS3 version has more color. The security guards pants are blue and the wardens(?) suit is blue but in the 360 version they are black and gray

Then look at the Harley Quin comparison, this is the one im talking about at first. The PS3 version actually looks more defined and the 360 version ended up with the notorious light coat of vaseline/blur. Why is it the opposite? Why couldn't they both just look like the PS3 version?

crillyconlig6083d ago

both are good looking, but the ps3 does have an edge

Nitrowolf26083d ago

Im going to give this one to the PS3. idk if anyone see this but when you look at the 360 shots to PS3, the 360 seems to have a bit more blur.

jerethdagryphon6083d ago

its exactly the opposite of the usual screenshots

ps3 is darker and sharper 360 is washed out and blurred

how odd

The Meerkat6083d ago

As a 360 fan i'd have to give it to the PS3.

Whats funny is the 360 shots look like most PS3 games we've seen over the years with the vaseline filter.

crillyconlig6083d ago

i was thinking the same thing

D4RkNIKON6083d ago

This may be the first time I have ever agreed with you. It does look like a hazy blur.

weazel6083d ago

I shouldn't think that it would be that noticable during play though. They seem similar enough for the difference to resemble a bit of contrast loss,(play with the colour menu on your tv?) but if the gameplay's the same, then we're all winners. *cheesy wink & fingergun salute to rocksteady*

peeps6083d ago

well like with any comparisons, put things next to each other in screenshots and u can pick apart lots of little things. play the games at different times and i doubt u'd be sitting there going wow i can really tell the difference from x version.

unless there are actually graphical glithces then there shouldn't be a problem whether ur a 360 or ps3 owner

The game developpers found how to make the cell proccesor sing.
And that some good song ova there.

Aloren6083d ago

Yeah !! such a HUGE difference !

Real Gambler6083d ago

Uncharted, Killzone, etc.

But wow, this is done with Unreal Engine, and people are counting pixels. This is the most impressive feat. Eidos managed to unleash to power of the Unreal Engine, on the PS3, when many other devs could not. Since so many games are made with this engine, it's a very, very good news for future ports.

Also, it does look like Batman is selling much better on the PS3 (with a lower install base), than on the 360. Another incentive that show devs that if you make a good port, people will buy it. Crossing finger that Epic's next engine will give similar results.

Thank you Eidos and Rocksteady to show the way.
