Nazis: not the most sympathetic of villains. In some ways they've become the perfect videogame bad guys – an impersonal horde, enacting designs of unspeakable evil, ready and waiting to be blown from their polished boots by all-American heroes wielding Thompsons, bazookas and, in Wolfenstein's case, Tesla guns.
Yet films have been able to paint a much more complex picture. It may have taken them a while, but movies eventually made the journey from monocle-wearing SS goons sneering "For you, Tommy, the war is over!" to the gut-wrenching moral complexity of being a secretary in Hitler's bunker. When will we – or could we ever – see games make a similar transition? Games have let you play as Nazi forces, of course, but usually only in the contextually neutered realm of multiplayer, or at the morally ambivalent macroscale of strategic warfare. But will we experience a more personal account?
The great thing about being one of the most popular consoles of all-time is that there’s always more underappreciated bangers to spotlight.
Definitely a good game and loved the art style. My daughter watched me play it when she was 4 years old. I’ll have to replay it with her someday now that she’s older. It’s crazy it’s been around 11 years.
I was thinking of pulling out my PS3 super slim this winter to replay Rain, and try to tackle some of the backlog I acquired.
I love Enslaved such a sleeper hit, Asuras Wrath a very good game I still own, and I wish EA would put out a new Dante's Inferno another game I enjoyed. I never heard of the Rain game I might have to try it out might give Ebay a snoop or two.

Sometimes, you want a relatable villain who makes you question your own morality. Other times, you want Frau Engel.
It got old tbh. Machine needed a break from the IP. Indie is a good reprieve.

I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
