The Missing Characters/Features from Arkham Asylum

From the feature article:

"Last week, Eidos and Rocksteady Studios dropped a bombshell in the form of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Not only was it thoroughly enjoyable, but it could potentially end up being one of 2009's Game of the Year contenders. Even with its near-perfection total game package, there were still a few flaws found in Batman: Arkham Asylum that should be addressed the next time around, when a sequel hits store shelves. So what's our objective today? We are ready to serve up gamers with propositions that need to be closely analyzed by Eidos and Rocksteady when they are preparing to announce a sequel to Arkham Asylum. So without further ado, let's begin with the villains that should show their ugly mugs the next time around."

This is so far my game of the year but I do wish some of the characters from your list were in the game, plenty of things to improve upon for the sequel but the game is still freaking amazing....well done!

@Article
But save those villains for other installments.

Not ALL of them should be fought at the asylum.

Caspel6028d ago

I agree; the sequels should be great if they stick to the formula.

topdawg1226028d ago

Ras Al Guhl should be the main villain in his underground fortress or something, I'm not sure how you could include other villains in it though

BLipp176029d ago (Edited 6029d ago )

because if he did, his first villain point would be null as
*spoiler*

after you collect all the riddler challenges, batman tracks the location of the riddler and the police arrest him

*end spoiler*

UltimaEnder6029d ago

I have a feeling this small inclusion of the Riddler would not have mooted the first missing character, most (if not all) Batman fans would have loved to see the Riddler play an actual role in the game, not as a CG movie character....cmon now!

Caspel6028d ago

there's a big difference when it comes actually having the ability to take down the villain/boss and doing nothing but solving riddles.

facelike6028d ago

Batman usually doesn't fight all the villains at one time, plus not all the villains get along with each other. I find it better the way AA was done. Good job Rocksteady, keep it up, and if you do a sequel, then keep it true to Batman and I'll be happy.

Polluted6028d ago

You only get to hear them track the guy down. It's not like you get to punch him in the face or anything.

was the batwing, not the batplane.

Caspel6028d ago

Batwing was originally known as the Batplane.

wasnt red hood eventually joker? unless he means after the first game joker puts on the red hood again? or am i missing something

Caspel6028d ago

Jason Todd, the second Robin, took over as Red Hood.

"Jason Todd, the former Robin killed by The Joker in A Death in the Family, is revealed to be resurrected and is this new Red Hood. His debut culminates in a fateful confrontation with those he feels have wronged him. He beats the Joker with a crowbar (mirroring the way the Joker had tortured him before killing him with a bomb) and later kidnaps him. The new Red Hood assumes control over various gangs in Gotham City and starts a one-man war against Black Mask's criminal empire. He actively tries to cleanse the city of corruption, such as the illegal drug trade and gang violence, but in a violent, anti-heroic way. He eventually comes to blows against Batman and other heroes allies, including the new Robin, Onyx and Green Arrow." - per Wiki

angel6046028d ago

oh gotcha, i just read the first red hood on wiki, didnt know there was a second

bubbles for you kind sir

CobraKai6028d ago

Yeah that's be sick since B-man is anti gun.

The Ender6028d ago

i was actually really surprised that there wasn't any mention of him in the game, not even in the character bios. but it would be sweet to see him in a sequel considering he is one of Batman's oldest enemies.
