The relationship between Nvidia and Intel couldn't be any more chilly. At odds with each other over Nehalem licensing, netbook platforms, and other tech related spats, the two sides seem all to happy to take digs at one another when the opportunity arises. For Nvidia, that means calling to question Intel's claim that its Core i7 processor can improve game performance by up to 80 percent.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
After seeing articles for and against i7 vs c2q, it seems other benchmarks i've found show that
1. The i7 doesn't perform better in games ( when compared to similar speed C2Q's)
2. That the i7 under-performs with single NVIDIA gpu's
3. That the price difference for the i7 over c2q isn't justified for the small gains in some games ( especially seeing as there is a decrease in performance in some, and the cost of the ddr3 ram+ new mobo)
So i will wait it out, and get the GT300 before a new cpu. I'll sell my gtx280 for it, and get a new cpu when across-the-board gains are noticed.

well tbh.. it depends on the game you are playing.
GTA 4 was very badly optimised. I had a core2 running at 2.4ghz (gpu you was 4870 x2) 2gb of ram and i was struggling to get 30 fps at max 1900*1200.. almost everything maxed out.
i upgraded to a I7 920 OC'd 3.5 ghz 6gb ram 4870 x2, and i was able to play the game near 60fps same settings.
so i would say it depends on the game
on my older rig i was barely getting 50fps on farcry 2 1900*1200
with the new rig i get about 80fps same settings as above. so i would say I7 can make a difference, though a powerful gpu is more important.
Well, sure i7 is not getting any more performance I mean if you don't make the game in such a way that it uses the extra power, how will it run any better?
its over hyped and over priced. I am not willing to pay such an outrageous about of cash. What he said was right but I would not spend it on 16 games rather 2 GTX 260 or equivalent cards.
