thats sad.

cyguration6027d ago

I'm gonna get a lot of disagrees because I'm not tuned into the same frequency of mentality as fanboys...but which game is alien technology and which game is last gen?

G3TDOWN6027d ago

Hands Down !!!! After that is Killzone 2 which is also a PS3 exclusive...

It's not my opinion, it's the truth in my eyes

zeeshan6027d ago

These guys are retards! Why the hell are they comparing two totally different games? These morons need to get a life and do something else with it!

Cwalat6027d ago

Never bias, always truthfull... and honestly, whoever thinks Splinter Cell has a chance against Uncharted 2 in all elements of the game must be a brain emptied fanboy.

There is nothing in Splinter Cell that outshines Uncharted 2 IMO.

And honestly, after seeing the E3 demo of Splinter Cell Conviction and Gamescom version of the demo, it looks as if it got a major downgrade for whatever reason... Don't flame me for it but it just seems that way to me, if you don't agree then fine but atleast compare the two versions for yourself and take a look.

EITHER way, Splinter Cell is by no means a bad game... not at all. Infact i will probably try it out on PC for the story. Hope both parties of this comparison are satisfied with the final products as i know, i will be.

deadreckoning6666027d ago (Edited 6027d ago )

This comparison is idiotic. Comparing a game thats damn near complete to one that has 7 months of development time to go...not what I call fair.

@Kamikaze135- U deserve bubbles. Its amazing how people judge games before playing them. If anyone cares, ill be buying both.

chaosatom6027d ago

Games haven't even been released and the final round article is here!

Danja6027d ago

Uncharted 2 has Splinter Cell...beaten on every level.....

Is there a game coming out this year that can match up to the beast that is Uncharted 2....??

The Next game in the foreseeable future is GOW 3 or GT5

Pistolero6027d ago

They look pretty close to me...and I am sure they will both be extremely enjoyable games for their respective platforms....people need to stop hating....hating only breeds more hate.

BX816026d ago

@Danja...Yeah it's called MW2. If you want a good looking game with a good story and a massively deep online component then it's MW2. Fanboys always forget that looks aren't everything. I'm just tossing this out since you already know about Uncharted 2 in and out, as do I know MW2 in and out.

DaTruth6026d ago (Edited 6026d ago )

I just got all giddy, with this reminder that Uncharted 2 is coming soon! Seriously, I was blushing, and the goosebumps!

@Deadreckoning: SplinterCell got delayed(they were suppose to release together), I know this because I had to read that 360 has a better holiday lineup than PS3, from like 100 360 fanboy's comments and now all their games got delayed! Suddenly there are no holiday lineup comparisons anymore!

beardpapa6026d ago

Silly to compare these two games. There're different! Heck even the overall gameplay mechanic is different. In one you're going guns-in-blazing and the other you're being tactical and stealthy if you want. It's like comparing MGS4 to Gears of War 2 or comparing Ratchet to Halo. You can't compare games like that! They should at least compare games that have similar art/game design.

KRUSSIDULL6026d ago

Again heavy modified Unreal engine 2 vs fully optimized in-house engine no suprise wich one wins. BTW why compare these 2 titles? is it becuse one is 360/PC and the other PS3?

nycredude6026d ago

Damn look at all these comment saying these two games shouldn't be compared. I don't blame them. Everygame should be afraid to compared to Uncharted 2 cause UC2 will own all this Holiday, except Gt5 if it comes out this year.

Personally, if I had only one game to buy this year, it would be Uncharted 2 over anything else.

Two totally different games
We know barely anything about Splinter Cell
We know a lot about Uncharted 2
Graphic wise, Uncharted 2 blows Splinter Cell out of the water
Gameplay wise...nobody knows yet
Audio wise....Again, nobody knows

A real pointless comparison >_>

Edit: @cyguration

Yeah, I've seen some gameplay, but not as much as I've seen of Uncharted 2. I'm sure there are gameplay mechanics that weren't revealed to us and modes that we know nothing about. Until we figure all of that out, it's unfair to compare the two. Lol, but yeah, it's still not right to compare the two regardless since they're totally different games. It's like that Gears of War and Uncharted comparison that went on....one game had platforming segments and one game was strictly a 3rd person shooter. Both games were awesome, though. I'm sure Uncharted 2 and Splinter Cell will both be amazing as well =D

cyguration6027d ago

there's a bunch of YouTube videos of Splinter Cell Conviction's gameplay. Ubisoft released quite a few during Ubidays and E3.

And you're right, you can't compare a third-person shooter game with large environments and stealth to a third-person shooter game with large environments and the option to use stealth <_<

HDgamer6027d ago

You don't remember that Uncharted 2 Beta?

Mr Bean Laden6027d ago (Edited 6027d ago )

uncharted 2 is an amazing game and I was in the beta for that

doubt splinter cell is better than uncharted 2, though 360 owners should pick up splinter cell because there hasn't been a lot of exlusives recently released on there console

Mr Bean Laden6027d ago

but if it's on PC it's not an exclusive, just fillin you in guys...

JonnyBigBoss6027d ago

The sad thing is, I think someone out there didn't know that.

Splinter Cell: Conviction IS going to be on PC.

Pistolero6027d ago

So?...what's your point?....there are a whole hell of a lot of gamers out there that don't own gaming capable PC, nor have any interest in doing so.

Bzone246027d ago

Leave them alone Pistolero, pointing out a game is also on PC makes them feel better about themselves for some reason.

Amplitude6026d ago

because there's so many PS3 exclusives that aren't on PC... ? Maybe? You think?
I mean, that IS technically what exclusive means. You can't have an exclusive game on 2 platforms. That doesn't... K, i'll just shut up. xD Too off topic.

Alright, whatever. So anyway, this is a stupid comparison because-

1. Splinter Cell is completely not even close to finished development
2. That is an Splinter Cell old video
3. They are completely different genres of games
4. Uncharted is a PS3 exclusive; of corse the graphics and audio are gonna be better.
5. What the hell is cinemablend.com?

Uncharted 2 Is the Most Important PlayStation Exclusive of All Time

In a list of games that defined the PlayStation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would certainly be one of the top contenders. The blockbuster sequel to 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune not only received critical acclaim and became a massive hit for Sony’s third console when it was released 15 years ago on October 13th, 2009, but it also cemented Naughty Dog’s future as a developer of cinematic, story-driven action-adventure games as opposed to its history of colorful platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter from previous PlayStation generations. To this day, Uncharted 2 stands as one of the PS3’s best exclusives and one of the most important PlayStation games of all time.

gold_drake484d ago

it was pretty good. especially the multiplayer

KyRo484d ago

I loved this era on multiplayer games from Sony. People used to call the modes tacked on multiplayer but they were enjoyable. I loved Factions even more. I'm Still gutted that the second one isn't coming out.

-Foxtrot484d ago

Yeah, that one game where it not only has an amazing single player but the multiplayer was also just as good.

A fresh a breath air with it's more "skill focused, less is more" multiplayer in a time during COD fever where every other game with online was trying to be like it.

Shame NaughtyDog eventually did do COD like things with Uncharted 3 and 4, they ruined what made the original so good. It become an over the top arcade fest in the end.

Inverno484d ago

Ironic cause the MP was basically Halo, and Bungie helped on the technical side of things too. MP was more simple back then, I've said this before but I played U2 MP religiously. I sucked at it like you have no idea, but mah gawd did I have so much fun. Can't find an MP game that hooked me like U2s these days. Then Factions came along and while it had its problem I found new religion with it. Agh damn it why did they cancel Factions 2 bruhh.

gold_drake484d ago

i had so much fun too, played almost every night with mates or cousins baha

Relientk77484d ago

It is for sure my favorite game in the series. It's such a blast to play. The train levels still hold up and are fun as hell as well as the entire game.

RaidenBlack484d ago (Edited 484d ago )

Still remember the first gameplay video ... shooting the chasing truck and then the beautiful visuals & details whilst traversing the dilapidated Nepal streets ... perfection
Too bad Sony never ported the trilogy to PC ...

RaiderNation484d ago

I would argue it's God of War.

darthv72484d ago

I'll say, the PS3 really did sequels better than people give it credit for. Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous 2... all were better than their initial offerings and still hold up to this day.
