Kepp-I've got a 360 but waited to see if Tales would get a western release so I'd be able to play ALL the game and yes I imagine the already angry Japanese (who felt MS lied with the"only on 360" speil here)360 gamers will spit chips over this BUT I, and you, don't have a clue if we'll ever see a western release.

True, PS3 owners who speak Japanese will be getting a far better package than those gamers who got it for the 360 out there(and as I understand it many who bought the console purely because of the exclusivity of this game-isn't that what the fires were about when the PS version was announced?)have done(unless there's some free DLC on the way but I doubt it!)but in my position I don't even know if the version I want will ever arive.

In the meantime many of my 360 gamer mates have enjoued the game and moved onto the next thing and, gonestly, I won't be shocked if it doesn't come west and a lot of us PS3 gamers with two consoles finally end up having to get what we KNOW to be a poorer version of the game just to play it and that's on top of the huge wait!

Really, with Yakuzas 3 and Kenzan, Fatal Frame 4, Demon's Souls(Im in the EU)among many others failing to come west Ii'm really starting to wonder why no western release has been spoken of. Maybe it won't come at all-perhaps they won't think it'll be worth it for the projected sales or whatever-and the fact it hasn't been announced already makes me think many of us waiting for the PS3 version in the west could well end up the most upset of all over this mess which, as far as I can see, isn't very fair on any gamers full stop.

This was content that was supposed to be part of the game, not to arrive as DLC like Capcom does when the content is already on the disk and all they release is a code to unlock it.

LOL true, true DVD is starting to show its limits AKA Rage on 2 discs for single and multiplayer.

Can you blame them? Is this not similar to the way PS3 owners felt about Fallout 3? Don't see how this has anything to due with bluray either. The game could have gone on multiple discs.

except for:

- the PS3 people that didn't have the option to buy the game
- the 360 owners that are huge fans (which are probably not that many considering how many games sold)

Actually, Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition is coming
out for the PS3 in October with all expansions.

September the 17th of this year in Japan has been the only release date announced thus far.

You do have a valid point. It really is all about having fun. Certain content, or lack thereof, should not make or break a sale. You wouldn't be doing yourself any any favors if you refused to purchase this game simply because the game is missing something so minuscule. The DLC really has no effect on the core elements of the game that makes Tales of Vesperia such a treasure.

That is a puzzling theory you have there my friend but in my own and honest opinion I would have to say that most of the people that own Tales of Vesperia on the Xbox 360 would be willing to fork over the extra cash for this gem. From what I've seen across the net the game has amassed a pretty strong following. I'm not really sure why, and this may be my own naivety here, but I don't understand what is holding the developers back from releasing the content to the Xbox 360 consumers. I mean, it's just money in their pocket right? If not then could someone please enlighten me?

I don't understand anyone who games these days. None of you enjoy gaming and it's a clear fact. "This must hurt 360 owners." How so? I thought games were about enjoying them, not worrying about what is exclusive and what has more content (which I guarantee you wont change the story dramatically in any way).

Yes it is worth it. Saying you're going to hold off on a game for over a year just because you might receive an extra character is asinine. Some games it makes sense, but for things like BioShock, Batman, ToV, etc., all you're getting really is some optional feature that doesn't affect the actual core game in any way.

I play a game because it's a game that I've been wanting to play. Not because my version has more useless stuff than your version, but because the games are fun. Like I said, to miss out on a game for over a year just for minor extra content additions is asinine.

People have other reasons other than just the extra content for waiting for games like this though. I've waited, so far, to see whether Tales gets a western release on PS3 for a few reasons and the hope of getting the full game is just one of them(a feeling given extra meaning if it's true that these extras aren't extras at all but part of the original vision that were cut for some reason).

I prefer gaming on my PS3 for the controller, because my 360s have scratched discs in the past and also because thy've broken down too often in my past and my faith in playing mine for hours on end , like I would with a JRPG, isn't as high as it would be on PS3(though in fairness my current 360 has been fantastic so far on both these counts).

Many gamers don't have both systems either so the wait for some is unavoidable but if you do I suppose there's a trade off between playing what's already a good game right now or waiting to see if a fuller version arrives on what might be your console of choice(definitely, if I preferred my 360 I would have bought the game already as I'm pretty impatient and the extra content wouldn't overshadow my preference on other matters). So while, on the surface, it could be considered asinine to wait it often isn't only about just the perceived extras but a choice of issues.

I bought NG2 for 360 expecting it to stay exclusive(after some of Itigaki's remarks tbh)and will now prolly be getting NGS2 for PS3 because, mainly, they didn't fix the damn camera and if I was just a 360 gamer I'd be upset-in fact I still am-that they refused to patch in what must be a pretty easy fix for NG2. As a result I can see why some 360 buyers of Tales could be annoyed by these extras and it's a sad part of todays gaming that we sometimes have to trade off playing games early against the possibility that the game might appear down the road with more bells and whistles or a more complete version of the devs vision for the game.

As I said, I can understand some situations, but for the most part, people just do it to say it's on their console, and it's getting really irritating to see the community that I've been apart of since I was 4 crumble to this.
