Left 4 Dead 2 is an upcoming sequel to Valve Corporation's Left 4 Dead. It will build upon the cooperative first-person shooter gameplay of the original and will be using Valve's proprietary Source engine, the same game engine as Left 4 Dead. The game made its world premiere at E3 2009 with a trailer during the Microsoft press event, and is scheduled for release for Microsoft Windows PC and Xbox 360 on November 17, 2009.
The game focuses on four survivors fighting against hordes of zombie-like humans. The survivors must reach safehouses to progress through the level, with the goal of reaching a rescue vehicle at the level's finale.

Following Left 4 Dead's undying legacy, the developer of the game shares that a new likewise project is in the works.
L4D had potential to be so much more. The issue was that the release of the second game just one year after the first added a decent amount of content which was much needed, then there was nothing except for a few small content updates spread far between.
This is one of the only games I can think of that benefits from a yearly release, or at least a yearly DLC so it doesn't split the player base.
The games just got too samey and lack content.. it's a shame they didn't keep up the pace, I know you can download new maps but it doesn't change the overall game or add new enemies etc.

The Guide Hall explores the top horde shooters that co-op fans should be playing this year before the upcoming launch of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2!

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
The graphics look very similar to the last one..It's still gonna be a very fine game.
as the first game, this isn't gonna be a big hit just because it's got a few new missions.
Nice preview Madusha, looks like a very good game. I'll be buying it on PC
The graphics look exactly the same, I was expecting way better graphics that that. Oh well, I'll still have a lot of fun k0ing zombies.
The uK papers yesterday had a story about how the world and government would survive under a zombie outbreak (For once i am actually serious ). I think it was a Canadian university study.
Their conclusions were we would need to wipe them all out swifty in order to survive. I could of told them that.
