TOMY Corporation today revealed a first look at a variety of characters using their special jutsu moves in the upcoming 3D fighting game for the Nintendo DS, NARUTO Shippuden: Ninja Destiny 2. The videos highlight the slick visuals and high-speed combat with characters performing battle sequences against each other and activating their character specific jutsu moves.
Some of the special jutsu moves include Deidara using his Detonating Clay, Sasori activating Iron Sand: Scattered Showers, Nine-Tailed Naruto using Nine-Tailed Berserk and Rock Lee unleashing his Primary Lotus. These are just a few of the character specific jutsu moves highlighted in the videos that are featured in the upcoming launch of the latest iteration in the portable fighting series, Ninja Destiny 2.

Game Revolution writes: "Another day, another mediocre Naruto game. Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Destiny 2 is the latest in an ever expanding series of games featuring ninjas that dress like road cones and scream out exactly what they're going to do before they actually do it. I'm throwing around the name "announcement fighter" for this genre."

Game Guys writes: "The latest port in the Naruto Shippuden series makes its way to the Nintendo DS. This game is really just a stepping stone since the next game is already out in Japan, and there is already an ad for the new game in this games instruction booklet. It will probably be out in the state's some time next year. Hopefully that game fixes some of the issues this game has."

If you're not a fan of the show, you'll get all you need from Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Destiny 2 in about as much time as it takes you to finish saying its name. The fighting is serviceable for a little while, and the visuals are nice, but the lack of options, the shallow fighting mechanics, and the tedious Story mode keep this game from fighting game fame. There's no compelling reason to spend time mashing buttons on this one.
Games looking good, I'll probably pick it up at some point. I'll look out for the first one first though.
I'm surprised that the best fighters on the DS are anime based ones and not the major fighting series.
the second is gonna be much better so i'd say get that... it has some rpg elements and 34 characters. the first one is just straight up fighting and like 16-18 characters. all of the characters from the first one are in this one.
Looked like dbz from far away.
still better graphics than xbox so sad
