One of the first things you will notice about Supercar Challenge is the graphics. They are specatular in full 1080p HD. The cars are beautifully detailed and its not just the Ferrari cars that feature this time, also included are such delights like the Aston Martin DBR9 and the McLaren F1.

When System 3 and Eutechnyx released Ferrari Challenge last year, it was met with some pretty mixed reviews. The game was generally well praised for its excellent driving engine, yet it fell down in many other areas, mainly its Challenge mode. Determined to create a more complete game and hoping to steal a march on the delayed Gran Turismo, System 3 and Eutechnyx are back with Supercar Challenge. The focus will be moving away from a Ferrari themed game and hoping that the addition of other car manufacturers, as well as a revamped career mode, will be enough to earn them a place in the hearts and game collections of driving fans worldwide.
Got this for £15 the other day and for that money I'm not complaining. Good game if you like simulators not arcade driving games. Very similar to Ferrarri Challenge.

Eurogamer.it: Looking back to the trailer shown at E3 I smile. The footage, shot with certain expertise, showed all the features of the game and put the outset, a fundamental question: "Do you think this is just another racing game?" And then off with thrilling scenes of racing cars vying to be customized at will in the very smallest detail, stressing repeatedly the approach explicitly simulated this latest production license plate and developed at System 3 studies Eutechnyx. The answer in the video was: "Think again!"

PlayDevil has posted an in-depth review of System 3 PS3 race game "SuperCar Challenge".
Here's more:
"There are plenty of other modes, like Arcade and Time Trial, but the meat of the game is clearly in the challenge mode, so you will be forced back there at some point. AI has been improved in some aspects, and is still some of the best around there, but it seems like the AI will make more mistakes for no real reason now. In some cars (e.g. the F40), it seemed like the entire field was incapable of taking one of the chicanes at the fake Montreal circuit."
great game by far the best sim for consoles ever! sim=simulator please understand that!
Indeed, it's basically a "hardcore simulation" game. So if anybody is searching for an arcade racer ... this game won't do you any good.
I have been in the SuperCar Challenge BETA since late April, when the BETA was 1st put out for a select few.
From Day 1, the graphics of these cars was amazingly crisp, shiny, and had shading perfection. At that time I only had access to a few cars. The view I had racing was from INSIDE the car, so you saw the steering wheel and windshield. You saw the right "driving line" to take and it was still hard as hell, and took a while to get it right.
Even when you slid of the track, the realism of the cars reaction was pure and i can honestly say, something I haven't seen prior in ANY racing game, NOR something I ever FELT before in part to the DS3 rumble. It looked and felt real, in every sense of the word.
As the updates came and patches came out, it got better and better and better. The damage was precise and the car selection got much larger.
The tracks much meaner and badass, yet, and this was profoundly odd in a manor of speaking, at the same time, when you just cruise around the track taking your time, taking the right driving lines, it actually seems YOUR the badass and not the game.
Also while doing this, and changing the camera angles, you really see the images, the detail in the surrounding areas, and the shadowing details were, sorry, ARE rivaling the best racing AND action sequence games I ever played..everything was and IS PURE in every sense of the word.
Now I was in 2 different Grand Turismo Betas.. 1 on the PS2, and 1 on the PS3, and GRAND TURISMO is racing simulation GOD as we all have come to know.
If System 3, keeps going the way it is going...if they KEEP on making the necessary adjustments, and so far they have been spot on with their additions and tweaks.
IF they keep this up, when the time the game is finally released, after all these years, we may FINALLY have a TRUE challenger to the throne. Forza2, Ferrari challenge etc.. those game looked nice, and played nice......
but...
this SuperCar Challenge could very well be the NEW must-have racing game, and rival even Grand Turismo in every category available
But it's going to really come down to a couple of things. We all know the history of Grand Tursimo, and we all know the next itineration of the game is giving pins and needles to all of it's fans who are dying to play it.
Will SuperCar Challenge get the same type of word of mouth, the same type of advertising? No.
Word of mouth is key, we all know this, but SCC will need MORE then word of mouth, it will need a aggressive campaign ad, it will need high ratings in the comparisions where it outshines G. Turismo in more then 1 or 2 categories.
If a friend tells a die hard G.T fan that SCC is BETTER the G.T, it's gonna have to outperform it in almost every category available.
And from the looks of SCC the past 3-4 months and how much has improved by my own eyes and "feel".. SCC is DEFINATELY hitting it's stride and readying itself for it's race of a lifetime!
And I have been damm proud to be a part of the initial Beta Testing!
Ive only recently joined the beta but have been really impressed i think its better than Forza 2 and GT5prologue. Will it be better than the new games ? i think so, because they have done something very important made it enjoyable. Also having a option to swap between racing Sim and racing arcade game. Will give it extra appeal.
