Stevie Lim writes.... First off let me just say that I have yet to play either of these games. I will be starting inFAMOUS soon and will try and pick up Prototype if I can find it for relatively cheap, but I digress. This is about how these two games have been intrinsically linked with each other, and about how inFAMOUS made Prototype famous. Let's just say that Activision should be very grateful to Sucker Punch for releasing their game around the same time period.

From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Batman: Arkham City to breakout hit Dispatch and new Marvel Cosmic Invasion, these are 10 of the best superhero games you can play today.

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.
Ah, fond memories of strangling all the people in their hotel rooms in Hitman 1
Lara Croft, Nathan Drake etc, cos they pretend to be the good guys but are mass murderers that show no remorse.

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
Not a lot of people read these compare articles, so i don't think infamous made prototype famous or infamous.
Ads/reviews or word of mouth are what makes games famous mostly.
10/10 for the lame title ^one handed claps^
Maybe...
but inFAMOUS > Prototype
inFamous is a fantastic game!
Prototype was...well...pretty bad. I'm sure a few people liked it, but to me it wasn't really that fun.
It had a few cool moves, but...I'll be honest. Spider-man: Web of Shadows did the action WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better! It more than made up for the terrible voice acting too.
Prototype's cliche storyline and less-than-spectacular one-liners were like a B-movie from Hell. (Huge Bruce Campbell fan here...)
sure beat the hell out of prototype. I found Prototype boring after about an hour. And that hold down one button to skip over everything and launch up a wall. Lame.
Sure Infamous has its draw backs. For me not many if any, but looking at it for a wider audience I could see some casual gamers finding a couple of the repetitive side missions, (i.e destroy the sensor alarms on the buildings) a bit boring. To be honest I found them a nice little distraction from all the action. buts that's just me.
