A look back at the original Rayman game, before the series was taken over by crazy rabbits.
The original entry in Ubisoft's platformer series, Rayman, is set to receive an HD remaster, according to the series creator.
Big Rayman fan, but hopefully they add some cool new things for those of us that already beat this on the PSX/PC/Saturn.
It has been many, many a year since I played Rayman. Absolutely loved that game on PS1, and being able to play it again on modern consoles would be great. However after the way Ubisoft handled the cancellation of the Prince of Persia Remake I don't really want to give them my money.
I think it was the level with the musical instruments where everything was "slippery" that had I been an adult, instead of a kid playing on his older brother's Saturn, I probably would have picked up smoking.
Oh god, that level was hard. Also the level where you've got to go through the cave in the dark with just a little bit of light around you, and the level where the controls were reversed with (I think?) an Evil Rayman chasing you. Or did I just dream that? Ha.
Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan are “working together on the future of Rayman,” brand producer Loic Gounon said in a video message celebrating the series’ 30th anniversary. Rayman first launched for the original PlayStation on September 1, 1995.

A former Ubisoft artist claims that a Rayman remake, once titled Rayman: Forever and The Story of Rayman, was scrapped in 2021.
Reminds me never finished Rayman 2: The Great Escape on the 3DS. Not sure why cause it's fun and creative.
I remember buying the game for wii, expecting a rayman adventure I found myself with a stupid minigame after minigame game, I was so disapointed the worst part is that no one wanted to buy it in e-bay.
I so wish Ubisoft would make a new Rayman. I would also love to see the series taken back to 2D. I love 2D gaming and I think you could do a lot with 2D now to make Rayman really shine. The new Rabbids Go Home looks to be a return to the platforming days but I still want to see a new Rayman game. This is one series that I really want to see again.
