Why do you bots disagree? It's a FACT that ME2 was making 360s overheat and RROD. There's no disagreeing with that and it's pretty sad that it is just 30 FPS. As for the Rage thing, John Carmack has confirmed he'll get the PS3 version up to 60 fps so I think I'll trust him instead of some delusional bots on this site.

After playing ME1 for a few days now, ME2 has now become my most anticipated 360 game this year.

Problem with Rage is (20-30 fps) see that 20 figure they pegged? That's an awful unplayable framerate. 30 is pretty much the least you can have to have a smooth experience.

Haha, I'm doubtful of this. I bought my first Xbox ONLY to play Mass Effect because it wasn't out on PC yet and that was a big mistake. It was a damn mess and played at least four times as smooth on a Pc.

So it doesn't strike me if they're finessing the audience a little bit.

Mass effect was a fantastic game, but the frame rate was so unsteady, hope that they have fixed this issue, 30fps is fine as long as it doesnt go any lower at any point. It wasnt so bad as to ruin the game but it was frequent

30fps lockin is great and all but I thought the gripe with this game was texture pop-in, did they fix that? I guess this was a small problem too and they said a long time ago now that the elevator loading screens are gone. It's good to see improvements being made based on actual feed back.

I don't understand why this game is exclusive, is it their choice to keep it that way or was a deal made for exclusivity? I simply want some clarification. It doesn't look like the type of game I would buy but everyone says it's great so I'm curios.

Texture pop in was almost non existent compared to the way the frame rate would chug at times imo. It was really bad. If they can lock it at thirty I'll be happy.

If you have a PC that can play it I'd highly recommend the game. Good story, very in depth and detailed universe. You could spend hours reading the Codex.

Rage wont be out till 2010 and john carmack said it will be at 60 fps on ps3 by then. Rage will be inferior on the 360 because of dvd 9 not being able to hold as much textures as one bluray. And if they put rage on 3 dvds you still get the inferior game cause 3 dvd 9's still doesnt match the capacity of one bluray and you are going to have to switch disks 3 times during the game which is just so the gen before last gen!

Aside from being off topic, your logic is faulty. The PC version will ship on as many discs as the 360 version. If getting up every 3-4 hours to swap discs is too hard for you, you need a different hobby. Obviously running (sarcasm).

On topic: I'm pretty excited for this game. 30 fps should make the shooting much better, and create a more engaging experience overall. Despite the problems of ME1, I never had much to complain about. Guess I'm not much of a nitpicker.

Why are you bringing up PC? If the PC version has more than one disc, you will never need to swap because every PC game benefits from installation to the HDD. This has been a standard practice for decades. PC version =/= 360 version.

As for Rage, the 360's core problem is the damn HDD. If the goddamn thing wasn't so tiny and exorbitantly priced, MS might have gone a route similar to the PC and never had to worry about DVD-9 limitations. It's no hassle to switch discs, but it can easily limit programmers. Installations have worked for the PC for decades now and would probably work better for a console since console hardware remains a constant.

Don't act stupid bots. Being on multiple disks with heavy compressions will also make the 360 version suffer. The PS3 version WILL be 60 fps as John Carmack himself has confirmed. The game still has over a year of development time so just wait and see.
