Batman: Arkham Asylum Joker Hands-on

IGN.com: Whew. Big day, eh? At 9 a.m., I published IGN's Batman: Arkham Asylum review, a couple hundred kids freaked out in the comments section, and the exclusive Joker Challenge Maps went live on the PlayStation Store this afternoon. That's right; these eight Mr. J missions are only available on the PlayStation 3.

Totally gonna get this game, Pre ordered it to get the Scarecrow challenges and I'll be picking up the PS3 version to get the Joker challenges. I'm just really Glad IGN gave it a good review, It means I can Finally look forwards to an awesome Batman game.

i've already downloaded the dlc (off of the ps store) and can't wait to play.

i hope 360 gamers get this at some point too. i don't like what's going on this gen with games getting certain content based on what console it's for. it can be confusing to the consumer and if a game is multi-plat, then ALL GAMERS should have access to the same content. that seems fair to me.

......Money talks and LIVE DLC speaks the loudest.

NMC20076129d ago

I would be SHOCKED if 360 didn't get it.

MS is not friend of FREE dlc. I honestly doubt you will see it at all.

beavis4play6129d ago (Edited 6129d ago )

it shouldn't be about money or lame comments like "live DLC speaks the loudest" (whatever that fanboy nonsense means).

it should be very simple: EVERYONE (that's ps3 or xbox360 owners) who buys a multi-plat game should have access to the same experience at the same time.

and NMC2007.....i hope so. it's like the fallout 3 dlc. it wasn't fair to ps3 gamers to have to wait for it and i don't think it's fair here for 360 fans to have to wait for this cool "joker" extra content. ( i didn't buy fallout 3 but it wasn't fair to ps3 fans who did)

edit: Raz, that's a point i hadn't considered.

edit: blaze929, i'm not sure. a couple i think i've seen in cutscene trailers. but, i hope you're right. i'm tired of this "exclusive dlc" crap. not that i'd want it all (i'm looking at you, GTA dlc), but we (as gamers) should have access to the same content.

and blaze, i was only able to view the first set of screens. the last 3 came up: "forbidden, you don't have permission to access from this server"

edit: i've got to leave for a meeting......if anyone else sends a response to my post, i'll try and reply this evening.

@Blaze

Except those screens aren't "Xbox 360" screens. Despite what the title on the Eidos site says.

Those are a combination of PC, PS3 and 360 screens. Click on the AA PC shots on the same site and there are a couple of the "Batman" shots that show up in both places.

Plus if you go to IGN and look at the "Screens" tab, EVERY ONE of those screens are in both the PS3 and Xbox 360 channels. The one with Joker putting on the x-ray glasses is even dated as early as May 23, 2009.

Having said that. It's idiotic to think that it won't appear on the 360 at some point. It's only a matter of when it will come.

ShabzS6129d ago (Edited 6129d ago )

have repeatedly stated that the 360 wont be getting any joker love ...

kinda sucks though coz the voice acting and animations really bring out the authenticity of batman tas in this game...
