Xboxist: Shadow Complex Review

Xboxist writes: "The hottest game on Xbox Live Arcade right now is undoubtedly Shadow Complex. This 2D action shooter is heavily inspired by Super Metroid and other similar games that offer a sprawling network of interconnected rooms to explore. As the game progresses over its short but action-packed campaign, players acquire better weapons, skills and equipment that allow them to access previously locked portions of the map. Along the way they will blast, shoot, and grapple with enemy stormtroopers and drones in a variety of forms. We thought Shadow Complex was pretty cool and offered great production values, but felt a bit short in the gameplay department for its $15 (1200 MS Points) price tag."

"but felt a bit short in the gameplay department for its $15 (1200 MS Points) price tag."

I completely disagree .. You tell me a $15 game that gives you this much production values and great gameplay?

I thought Edge was cheap with their review this POS takes the cake.

The Site is entitled with their opinion, and you don't have to agree with them, obviously this site was one of the few minorities, that didn't enjoy this title for the price.

Nothing wrong with that, there is no game that will have every site, love it exactly the same (or very few).

I agree with this review. Shadow Complex is fun for a very limited amount of time, and by next week nobody will be talking about it. Battlefield 1943 offers way more value for your $15, in my opinion.

Quite a big sale but not entirely convinced all are decent deals. Glad to see the 360 gets a few more offers this week. I wish Screamride was on sale by itself!

Gears Ultimate Day 1 Edition? I can understand picking up day 1 physical editions at later dates, that were stuck in the retail channel for whatever reason. Late "day 1" digital sales make no sense at all though.

State of Decay on Xbone is great.

OldGuyStillGaming3587d ago

This is the 5th or 6th time they've had Battlefront on "sale" in the last few months
Still overpriced imo
