Those two franchises manage to capture what I imagine it'd be like to play as a complete badass who slinks in the shadows, surveys the situation, and uses his many tools (ranging from gadgets to architecture to his own body training) to take down fools -- they feature the spirit, if not the official likeness, of Batman. So I'm pleasantly surprised that Batman: Arkham Asylum finally uses those elements in a proper Batman game -- and am doubly-surprised that it came from Rocksteady, the studio behind the tepid Urban Chaos: Riot Response."
