The question I have is they state it is an improvement. Where did they get the version without texture streaming? Is texture streaming only occurring in instances where there is an install and thus by default only in the PC version and in consoles with a HDD?

Those are bullshots. What game doesn't use texture streaming? Because I haven't seen any games look as bad as their "without texture streaming shots".

Okay, we all know Activision is being a d!ck right now. There's no need to downplay the quality of their games. MW2 still looks great regardless of how much more money you have to pay for it. Obviously, it's not worth the price for some people, but the graphics still look good.

I doubt it will be leaps and bounds ahead of Modern Warfare, but you cannot deny the quality of this title if the first was already of high quality. Obviously you will be able to say its the same old stuff as the last one, kind of like Halo 3 was when compared to Halo 2 (in terms of single player). Nothing justified the price hike, that's for sure, but I'm not going to bash the entire company that made this game possible just because the guy at the top (who doesn't really do anything but make price decisions and run his mouth about money) does stupid crap.

It should be completely opposite... texture streaming is supposed to improve the performance since they're not rendering all the textures in the level at once.

firstly i said that texture streaming doesn't make it LOOK better which these pictures attempt to show, it does make games PERFORM better WHEN THEY HAVE A WEAK GPU, which i also already said

secondly, anyone who disagreed obviously does not have crysis disabling texture streaming does improve performance, instead of constant loading textures, the video ram is filled with all necessary textures at the loading of the level and can instantly access them instead of having to stream aka process them, which slows down the game, it is FACT that disabling texture streaming when you have more than 512mb vram improves game PERFORMANCE....

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
