
Front Mission built its reputation on a combination of classic Squaresoft storytelling, giant mechs (called wanzers), and turn-based tactical strategy. But that last part is changing, with Square Enix now looking for opportunities to broaden the series' appeal. At E3, the company announced Front Mission Evolved, a third-person shooter made in cooperation with American developer Double Helix. At GamesCom, 1UP got their first opportunity to see an early version of the fruits of their partnership.

Its sad that games like this exemplify JP devs inability to make games for HD consoles.
