I've never stopped gaming although I have been gaming A LOT less recently. I play about an hour (usually less though) of GT5P a day, and that's it.

Hopefully the incoming barrage of games changes that. :D

I stopped gaming in 2004 I think. After having been an active gamer since Commedore 64 (C64-Amiga500-Playstation1-Pla ystation2). Six months after the 360 came out I bought one, and got hocked again.

Now after my 3rd 360 died I have no console (not getting another 360)... I Sold my PS3 2 weeks ago because I want a slim.... So I guess I stopped gaming again for a month or two.

Yes, from the middle of 2004 till around November 2007 when i got my PS3

In that time I met my wife and had a child. LOL

I stopped because thats when I moved out of my moms house and in with a cousin. I couldn't occupy the main tv with video games, didn't bring my own tv and i had already had an interest in gaming less or stopping altogether.
I started again because I already had an HDTV and the PS3 had already pulled in my interest. It also had blu-ray and I wanted to see what that looked like in comparison to HDTV.

But sometimes I want to quit because of those trophy whores out there, don't get me wrong, I love trophies but when you are playing multiplayer you have some peops out there who are so obsessed with getting that online trophy that there is no time for strategizing then the F get sucked out of FUN and slapped right into FRUSTRATION...Those developers aint helping either "R2 10,000 kills, TVSK 30hrs, Battlefield 1943 play 100 games etc". Give me skilled trophies damn it. Though that may not be a real reason to quit it sure is frustrating.

Who knows may game on forever.... My 2cents

I stopped gaming when it was time for work or bedtime! Also, drinking time (when not involved with gaming)

hamsterfist6132d ago

I forgot to mention that right now I only stop gaming when my wife makes me. =)

I lived with my girlfriend for 2 years, and she HATED video games. It was like pulling teeth every time I wanted to fire up some CoD (she's referred to as the "succubus" by my friends, online and off lol). Now that I'm back home again I play every chance I get...

Prototype6132d ago (Edited 6132d ago )

I'm in the same boat with ElementX on that one:

Sleep, work, maybe the occasional movie, backing up the PS3, the toilet, or driving to Taco Bell around the corner.

But other than that its in my blood to game, even if its an older game (like NES or Sega Genesis) but I gotta have a controller in my hand. Hell I'll even download something in my Blackberry if I could :D
