That`s nice. The past month I have been treated to Worms 2: Armageddon, battlefield 1943, madballs in babo, splosion man, marvel vs capcom 2, trials hd and shadow complex in 2 days. All on xbla in a month span. I`m gaming great my friend, thanks for asking.

Pretty original, spaz. You are right Sony's inferior third party titles and crappy controller are awesome. I own KZ2-overrated, beat and sold it. The controls, even when configured are atrocious, the aiming is God awful. My favorite part is that the Helghast are able to move like Mary Lou Retton on crack, while I fumble with cumbersome controls....way to take a great concept, and have a crappy cover system where you have to be double jointed to zoom at the same time. I had fun with the game (electricity gun, and mech level) but R2, and Gears blow it away.

Oh and MGS4, and its hackneyed story that makes zero sense, horrible acting for 20 f'ing hours, listening to Kojima ejaculate his politics-great times. Give me Mass Effect and Fable II anyday.

I feel sorry for me too. I get a new quality game every week, and you get KZ2, with it`s buttery smooth controls, unparalleled story and more players than any other game out there. Poor me.

Yeah, I am considering becoming an alcoholic because of your post. LBP and Uncharted are awesome games amd I am stoked for Uncharted 2. However, all I play is exclusives for my PS3, I like my 360 better. I am sure there are Halo and Gears apologists, but most sites people go over the deep end about KZ and MGS and if someone does not like the game they have kittens. I like them, just think they are overrated (like GTA 4)....And Sony has made egregious mistakes and have not capitalized on MS f-ups....So far this generation, the 360 is the system to own.

Metacritic? Who cares? I love Viking, Gun and Quake IV....they did not score high. Game journalists have their head up their posterior. GTA a 10? KZ2 9s? Halo 3 is an 8 not the 94 or whatever.

Splosion Man and Fat Princess aren't even close to the same sorts of game. And people do use mics on PSN.

Shadow Complex is going to be kickass. Maybe my personal game of the year, if it does justice to the Metroidvania vibe as well as these reviews are saying. I'm picking this game up on Wednesday, for sure, it should be a blast. Super Metroid is still one of my all-time favorite games, and Symphony of the Night is too. I accept any attempts to bring that gameplay style to the new generation!

AAA is more a reference to the scope and scale of a project, and has a lot to do with the budget and production values. It doesn't have anything to do with final scores and opinions. A game could score high 90's on MetaCritic, but it isn't AAA if it doesn't have that scope or certain production values. I'd put Braid into this category. A brilliant game that was universally well-received, but that doesn't make it AAA. AAA is to gaming what the term "Blockbuster" is to movies. Most "Blockbuster" movies get mediocre reviews, actually. In that regard, the 360 had Halo Wars in 2009, and I'd call it AAA, despite not getting the 90 average on MetaCritic. It's got to be well-received, too, though. And Halo Wars was well received, just not as universally highly praised as some other games that have come out. It's all really sort of a gray area and a judgment call, whether you call something AAA, but I think it's fair to say that MetaCritic is not the end-all decider of that.
