Top 5 Actors Who Could Play Solid Snake

Koku Gamer writes: "Metal Gear Solid is a massive success in the gaming industry. The title is synonymous with quality and immersion. No other game offers a cinematic experience quite like it. However if it is to step into to Hollywood territory it needs to deliver on all fronts, especially actors. Solid Snake was a man of epic proportions so an actor of exceptional ability is needed. Not only must he play the part well he must look a lot like the man as well. Given the plethora of actors available compiling this list was difficult, it could have easily been a Top 10. We feel 5 is enough for this type of article, so here is the Koku Gamer Top 5 Actors Who Could Play Solid Snake."

out of those list only huge jackman can play as solid snake, because he got acted skills.

check out his movie the fountain, great acted skills^^

foxtheory6142d ago

Yeah, Hugh Jackman would be awesome! Liam Neeson would be a great Old Snake imo.

But Sean Bean HAS to be Liquid...sorry, just had to get the out!! ;D

Gobot6142d ago (Edited 6142d ago )

Liam Neeson with his voice dubbed over with David hayter's voice. The Fountain was a horrible movie probably his worst...

WengYong6141d ago

I really can't believe how people think that Hugh Jackman sucks. He is a fkn mean actor, and the fact that he does theatre is proof enough that he can act. Theatre is the proving stage and Hollywood is the money maker. He can play more varied roles than any other contender, so the emotional parts wouldn't stuff it up.

Hugh Jackman FTW

Blackfrican6141d ago

Nicolas Cage
Vin Diesel
Jason Strathom
The Rock
Hannah Montana

table6141d ago

Was that sarcasm Blackfrican? Those are all terrible actors.

Tsar4ever016141d ago

Man, those are some CRAPPY AZZ Picks, man. I for one want to see an UNKNOWN actor to play solid Snake. Tired of people picking actors that are out now just because they happen to be action stars. BULLS**T picks!!!

Leio6141d ago (Edited 6141d ago )

People nowadays spending way too much money on actors ..why dont they just pick someone new and spend more millions on writers and special effects instead??..

Just take a look at District 9 ...They know how to spend their money

BkaY6141d ago

CG would be easy fix...

Hi cute little asian.

I think Jack Bauer could be a kick a snake character. He is got a great voice arse kicking skills and is just one of the best.

Reibooi6142d ago

the problem with the guy who plays Jack Bauer(Who i don't really think fits the role he is badass but there is more to it then that) is that he is far to well known for 24 and everyone would think they were watching 24 the movie which is not something you want in a MGS movie.

SevWolf6142d ago

Well I don't think Jack Bauer. First he doesn't suit Snake's Kickassness :P, and second, like Reibooi said, people will think they're watching a 24 movie
I, personally, think they should hire David Fvcking Hayter...I mean he does the vioce AND, somewhat, looks like Snake...but ofcourse hollywood would want some big name actor like Christian Bale(he's in every movie right now) and would screw the movie like they did with Uncharted, Nolan North would be perfect...but alas I'm trying to keep my hopes up.

morganfell6142d ago

Screw up Uncharted? You do realize who is the current favorite for Nathan Drake, right?

Kurt Russel? What are they casting, fat old Snake?

David Hayter? V.O work isn't the same as acting.

Eric Bana? I guess that would help Snake get into small places or would come in handy for using emo camo.

Liam Neeson? He's 6'5. A little out of place.

That leaves Hugh Jackman from the list. personally I think they should go with an unknown or at least a little known.

TVC156141d ago

did you even read the article?

Kurt Russel is pretty much just on his list for his role in inspiring the creation of the character Solid Snake. And the article does mention he's too old and could probably only play old snake.

anyways

I think David Hayter should play snake, if he doesn't, they should at least accept his screenplay for the movie.

RedDeadLB6142d ago

Hayter could do it.. If he buffs up a little bit

Ziriux6142d ago

Yea lol true. He is got all going for him, looks can act with that old snake voice and is just straight bad ass.

Finalfantasykid6142d ago (Edited 6142d ago )

I think he is the only one who can truely pull of Solid Snake. Being the voice actor, and the fact that he knows the character probably as well as Kojima.

Reibooi6142d ago

Some of those choices are border line insulting to teh character like Eric Bana(He is a great actor to be sure but is NO solid snake.)

To me the problem with a live action snake is that you could cast the best looking actor who looks just like snake does all his own stunts has the mentality of snake but as soon as he opens his mouth it's fail.

David Hayter IS Solid Snake for alot of people. His voice is iconic in that role. While David Hayter is on this list I'm not really sure he could play snake in a live action movie.

WengYong6141d ago

Seriously if you expect him to sound exactly like Snake thats a fail. All I expect is for the actor to do his best.

I think the list is pretty good. Sure there are other candidates, but to each his own.

The Newt6142d ago

I think Huge Jackman would be a great actor to play Solid Snake it looks like he could pull it off easy as pie, he would just have to get into character.
