If you were to go to file planet today, you might notice on their main page a "Free Games Pick" section where it's spotlights a free-to-play-browser-based-mmo-rpg by the name of Earth Eternal. A link posted at the bottom of this section states "Play now for FREE!"!!!
This link will then take you to another page on file planet which describes the game, and gives you a couple steps to take in order to set an account up with Earth Eternal. It's just that when you go to the Earth Eternal website, it's still in CLOSED BETA.

2010 was not a remarkable year for the MMO industry. While no major MMOs shut down, certain shutdowns certainly did make history for their remarkable exit. Three MMO shutdowns - plus one other MMO that seems to be out of commission long before launch - made their mark on history last year.
