Kotaku: Realtime Worlds is looking for beta testers for their upcoming MMO APB, and you could be one of the few, once you finish filling out one of the more intrusive beta applications we've seen.
The application actually seems like it's part beta tester app, part demographic survey. Along with the normal questions like processor type and testing experience, Realtime is asking for your marital status, number of children per household, and income level, which to me doesn't seem to have a great deal of impact on whether or not you can beta test. Most of it isn't optional, either. You have to select an income range - there is no "No comment" option. The company does at least assure applicants that their information is safe.

Just how long do MMO’s last before going free to play? GameKeysNow takes a look

For every game that truly lives up to its potential, there are a couple that absolutely miss their mark. Be it a simple case of over hyping an unfinished product, to game systems that downright are broken, or even just a game being inexcusably horrible, some games just leave a terrible taste in people’s mouths.
I think rogue warrior needs to be on here. And why Isn't E.T. on here since we're talking about all time terrible games. That game single handily crashed the video game world.
For me Haze. I was interested to play it. That was until I played the demo. Picked it up in a bargain bin later on after its launch and I am glad I did........pick it out of a bargain bin and not pay full price
APB , that game went from having a 100mill dollar budget to bankruptcy so fast , it should be a record on its own
No Dude Nukem: Forever? That games had so much hype surrounding it and it turned out to be a steaming pile.

PC Gamer - The action-MMO first known as APB lives on as APB Reloaded. But if your memory serves, you’ll recall that the urban, massively-multiplayer shooter had a quick death: APB shut down just months after launching at the end of June 2010, coinciding with the dissolution of developer Realtime Worlds.
I didn't think it was intrusive.
What's wrong with a little first hand market research?
edit: I'll happily answer a few extra questions for the chance to play a game for free. Especially one that could turn out to be pretty good.
Bizarre Q's, but whatever all done.
No kidding.
Here are the questions that people are talking about.
Not that I minded, I just figured that it is a little personal.
Whats next? Sexual Orientation?
EDIT: Attaching images isn't working or me.
I am beginning to wonder if the games media doesn't know how to do anything else but moan. That is all it seems to do these days is moan about this and that and the other.
It's rather very simple if you are not happy with answering the questions then don't fill the form in. Apparently though that is too simple, yep they have to have a real good moan about it.
Most of the information on the form is probably on about 2,000 databases already 1 more is not going to hurt but lets not stop that getting in the way of a jolly good moan eh.
