Will Michael Vick Be Added to Madden 10?

If you haven't heard you've been living under a rock. Michael Vick has signed a 2 year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. The deal was signed yesterday, the day before Madden 2010 was released, meaning the player is not currently in EA's game. So what is EA going to do?

I wonder if EA will have their own issues with adding him in.

Grown Folks Talk6132d ago

They'll probably add him to the long list of other DLC they are trying to charge people for.

UnwanteDreamz6132d ago

Yes they will add him as a DLC minigame.

You will take the role of a dog who is being trained by Vick.

The objective will be to tear off his face when he comes to drown you.

sofresh2006132d ago

its funny how more people care about what Vick did than Donte Stallworth.

cyberwaffles6131d ago

i agree, stallworth's incident was twice as bad as vick's yet he didn't even get half the sentence vick got.

i think part of it has to do is that stallworth was under the influence and once he realized what he had done, he immediately owned up to his responsibilities so therefore his punishment wasn't as harsh. i guess someone who's under the influence isn't knocked down for their actions as much just like if a mental person were to kill someone, they could plea insanity.

vick, on the other hand, countlessly denied allegations and tried to cover up his mess so he started digging up his own grave after that point. everyone deserves to be forgiven for their mistakes and everyone has a right to redeem themselves, but stuff like what vick did is in my opinion a mental issue. truly sick minded along the lines of a concentration camp murder except these were dogs and not as much as in capacity.

vick's brother marcus even had problems. i still remember when he dug his cleats into bronco's defensive lineman dumervil's calf nearly breaking it in half. thank god his legs were so strong (obviously they would be since he's a defensive lineman) as dumervil's doctor reported that if it was any normal man's calf, it would've easily broken it.

but yeah, i still feel like stallworth got away easily for his punishment. i mean he killed a person, that should be worse than a dog in my opinion.

Micheal VIck Stay positive son , get that cash fam.

Bnet3436132d ago

He'll be a distraction for the Eagles.

mcgrawgamer6132d ago

not for real football fans. I doubt any football fans are standing with peta at this point.

ijkabob6132d ago (Edited 6132d ago )

Standing with peta? the man supported dogfighting. Any body with any amount of empathy should hate the foul man. I mean my god, he stuck dogs in a cage to bite and rip skin from the other dog for nothing more than his own ammusement.

joydestroy6132d ago

no, people with some sense would not hate the man for what he did outside of football. celebrities of all professions get away with crap all the time just because they can. why should this be any different?

and secondly, what most people don't understand is that football is a job profession. what he does outside of his job shouldn't matter to a degree. he's sorry for what he did, he did his time, and now he's back to work. end of story.

i do not agree with what he did and i hate that he did it, but i'm not going to hold it against him at this point. i have an American Pitbull Terrier and a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix so i'm obviously a dog lover. Vick made a mistake and i think he's paid for it. people really need to let it go now.

Megaton6132d ago

@3.1 - I know right, football > morality. It's not like this guy got caught high as f*ck doing some crazy nonsense like 99% of other celebrities that go to jail. He was brutalizing dogs. If they weren't killed fighting, he killed them himself for losing. He's the scum of the earth, and I hope he gets as good as he gave to those dogs. This has nothing to do with PETA, just the difference between right and wrong.

mcgrawgamer6132d ago

I'm not saying what he did wasn't wrong. the man did fed time. what more can he do? people make mistakes all the freaking time. I'm a panthers fan and the last placed I wanted to see him was in the NFC but he's paid his debt to society. prior to this new contract he was damn near broke, the friend he had turned their back on him and I'm sorry to say this but dog fighting in the south is about as common as c0ck fighting is in mexico and thailand.

I'm not saying praise the guy the but whole point of the penal system is for guys who commit crimes to be rehabilitated and for all we know michael vick is....should we continue to hold negatives over the guys head without giving him a 2nd chance???? PETA is already planning to protest the guy and the Eagles. that's why I said football fans aren't like PETA. He get a couple of wins under his belt and they'll forget all about his past. Just ask Ray Lewis....

Megaton6132d ago

I don't know any man who has been rehabilitated by the penal system, and I know a person who spent 18 years in a federal prison. I know what it's theoretically supposed to do, but the prison system as a whole is very broken.

I don't think he should even be allowed to play anymore. They're supposed to have a code of conduct that these guys are to uphold in their daily lives aren't they? These guys are not only representing their team, but the NFL as a whole. Shameful stuff, really.

UnwanteDreamz6132d ago (Edited 6132d ago )

Dude I live in the South and there is dog fighting but it is underground.

Do you know why?

Because it is *&^%^&* ILLEGAL! I agree he payed his debt but I don't have to like the little bi*ch. I hope he goes broke and has to be a mail carrier.

I am BTW a huge football fan and I'll say it because I am.....Vick will never be considered a great quarterback and it has nothing to do with dogs. He is mediocre at best!

EDIT

ROFLMAOff, agreed!

"only thing worse than being from Virginia is being from Kentucky as far as football is concerned."

mcgrawgamer6132d ago

guys I'm have no love loss for the guy either. I mean after all he's from Virginia.....only thing worse than being from Virginia is being from Kentucky as far as football is concerned.

we all have a difference of opinion. I'm not saying praise the dude I sure as hell won't, but I also feel like everybody deserves a 2nd chance. I even felt like Adam Jones deserved a 2nd chance, Adam Jones begged to differ. In any event I'm not arguing with any of you nor am I saying any of you guys are wrong. I was simply speaking my opinion.

ijkabob6132d ago

I keep hearing that he made a mistake. I think that a mistake is something that you do by accident or withought really thinking about. When you do something for months or years and are fully aware of what you are doing it is no longer a mistake. Vick did not make a mistake. He did it on purpose and new what he was doing.

Sitdown6132d ago

when people say it will be a distraction. These are grown men....and if this causes a distraction for the team...then those players don't need to be playing sports. At the end of the day, they still will collect their paychecks......this really should not be that serious for his teammates. Now concerning this article...what's the point of it? Did they not add Ray Lewis to the game after his plea bargain?.....did it stop them from putting him on the cover years later?

Eagles would be fine without him.

He's holding a pistol to that poor dogs chest.

Borrowed games, a coffee cup, and the true meaning of Christmas

What do a coffee cup and borrowed video games have to do with the real meaning of Christmas? Lots, apparently.

THR1LLHOUSE5271d ago

Aw, a very nice little story.

NagaSotuva5271d ago

I was in love with the story until Madden came up.

lorianguy5271d ago (Edited 5271d ago )

Unlike at Christmas time, leaving a coffee stain on the case of a borowwed game causes large amounts of abuse from my friends.

Careful where you put your coffee!

But that was a very nice story, it seems you have made Jake a very happy boy :)

Cleveland Browns Running Back Peyton Hillis Latest Victim Of The Madden Curse

When it comes to sports curses, aside from the Chicago Cubs, there’s no more active superstition than the Madden curse. Since 1999, almost every year something bad has happened to the cover athlete of Electronic Arts’ bestselling Madden NFL franchise. Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis is the latest victim of this curse.
