Microsoft Game Studios (MGS) in Europe has licensed the Havok Spectrum software bundle, which will give the MGS developers access to Havok's technology "across projects moving forward." No_NaMe6161d ago

Who gives a sh** about the engines they use ??

Pennywise6161d ago

Just stick with UE3, right?

morganfell6161d ago

Havok is a great solution for consoles and especially suitable for units that are not capable of hardware physics.

kaveti66166160d ago

Nice backhanded compliment, Morgan. Very nice.

phosphor1126160d ago

Morgan's comment made me lol. Well played =P.

Anyway... why is this news relevant? Is it EXCLUSIVE to 360 now? Cuz umm.. that would cost a whole sh*t ton of money considering Havok is used in almost everything. Someone explain what this news means... is it just that MGStudios gets to access more Havok code??

Would you be the new face for the new product I am designing?

It is a helmet for irresponsible parents that drop their children when they are young. We all know that this can cause brain damage and social problems as the kids get older. We are trying to prevent this by marketing a new stylish helmet for children and I think YOU would make a good poster child for this product so people can see what happens if they don't use the helmet.

Chubear6161d ago

HAHA! The same thing Sony's been using for their games since launch? and you say "RIP"? lol you 360 fans are so dumb is scary.

Static-X6160d ago

The Sony loyalists have many a bubble, But the bots are usually running low..?

Pennywise6161d ago

And the "x-engine" emerges. lol

Rockox6161d ago

I tend to really dig games that use Havok. Good stuff.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio57d ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing57d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9257d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit57d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing57d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9257d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
