Yeah thought this would never make it to Greatest Hits. I shouldve waited, just bought the game about 2 months ago too.

raztad6141d ago

Yeah. Perfect timing, I want to play this BEFORE UC2 graphics spoil me. Good news. Getting this soon.

Trey4Lyfe6141d ago

I got this for $50 a few weeks ago, oh well it was VERY fantastic. If you own a PS3 get this game!

I was just about to buy Uncharted used on ebay. Bring on the $30 price tag!

Knightrid8086141d ago

I 100% agree with you. What sucks for me more with Heavenly Sword is that stores around here don't have it anymore.

ultimolu6141d ago

One of the best games ever made. I loved this game. :D

Uncharted 2, here I come.

RAAAAAGE6141d ago

thx for the advanced notice jerks. I just bought a copy from ebay, yay chinese version.

pain777pas6141d ago

Every Ps3 owner should now be without this masterpiece. Stills holds up tremedously well.

shadow27976141d ago

Knew this was coming soon (SonyStyle said they would not be restocking Uncharted after that "sale" last month) but I was impatient and bought it used for $35. So I could have saved $5 and my money would have went to Naughty Dog if I had waited a month. Oh well. I knew this could happen. It's still a great game and Naughty Dog will be getting my money with the sequel.

If you haven't picked it up yet, do so now. There's no reason to wait any longer.

Finally...seems like this one took waaay too long! I mean its still 59.99 at most retailers still!

MattyF6141d ago (Edited 6141d ago )

Very true. Still worth every cent, though. I'm sure the new lower price will give the title a nice boost in sales, too. No excuse not to own this amazing game now.

f7897906141d ago

Heavenly Sword is also still $59.99 everywhere I look. You think they would drop it to make more sales.

RAAAAAGE6141d ago

I bought a copy on ebay 2 days ago for $40, ships from China. Would've been nice to have a notice, or release it with the last 2 greatest hits.

I pre-ordered Uncharted: Drake's Fortune two months in advance at my local gamestop. When I went in I've seen 2 covers for Uncharted, one in a PS3 case and another in a X360 case. I told the clerk that this only coming to PS3. He assured me that its coming to the X360 as well.

Needless to say he and the manager at the time dont work there no more. Always funny shyt happening at that gamestop during that time.

Anywho Uncharted: Drake's Fortune ended up being 2nd showcase game next to Heavenly Sword for my theater system...such a beautiful game. Just like Killzone 2 is such a beautiful game of despair.

Looks like Uncharted 2 will top itself of the first, which is no surprise really. ND has a better handle on the architecture for their 2nd gen game on the PS3 and it shows.

Just to think we are only in the 3rd year of the PS3.

PROOF Uncharted 2 will flop

look how long it took for this to reach this level

sephy 9 2 56141d ago

sales are on par with other PS3 greatest hits titles and its on the high end as far as Sony exclusives this gen go.

Cajun Chicken6141d ago

Been out Platinum (the equivalent of GH) in EU for about a year now, even over, actually.

Tonys Creed6141d ago

It's wasn't a greatest hit because the game was bundle with a 160GB PS3. So the bundle had more value with a 60$ games bundle with it than a 30$ one. Simple has that.

Grooski6141d ago

Tony Creed, do some research before posting. Uncharted 2 has been greatest hits in PAL since late 2008.

Alex_Mexico6141d ago

just exactly HOW is this proof that the sequel will flop? Uncharted has sold something close to 3 million copies worldwide. It was still selling so there was no reason to make it Greatest Hits yet, not to mention it was bundled in the 160GB PS3.

Go back to your bridge, troll.

iceman066141d ago

Or maybe it is proof that "unproven" IP's have a harder time selling when a system is being pounded into the ground by the media. Uncharted was one of the BEST titles for the PS3 and STILL holds up. Now, with Uncharted 2 gaining media "hype"(only in quotes because I don't believe that it IS hype)It makes sense for those that missed it to be able to go back and learn about the story and character that they will undoubtedly continue in Uncharted 2.

The Inconsistent Harmony: 5 Examples of Ludonarrative Dissonance in Video Games

VGChartz's Issa Maki: "I finally have a proper designation akin to what I've always referred to internally as 'the line that must be crossed' or 'The Line', for short – ludonarrative dissonance – the separation from a video game's story in relation to its gameplay. Why isn't PETA all up in Mario's grill for jumping on turtles and killing fish, or charging Samus Aran with the extinction of the Metroid species? Ever notice how fire has that habit of making bosses in Resident Evil stronger? Read on my friend, for I endeavor to imbue you with the ability to engage in basic queries concerning the concept."

UC 2, 4, 3 and 1. Great read and article

ABizzel11775d ago

No Golden Abyss -_-, otherwise I agree with the order.

UC2: Best overall
UC4: Best graphics, best gameplay, best locations, best environements
UC3: Best set pieces IMO (the boat and desert fights will always be amazing)
UC1: A rough Draft of what was to come
UCGA: Basically UC1 on Vita

Levii_921775d ago (Edited 1775d ago )

Great list and great article nicely writen and explained. Although for me personaly i would put Drakes Fortune above Drake’s Deception and Uncharted 4 is absolutely my favourite of the franchise and number 1 for me.

Inverno1775d ago

U2 is the only game playable on crushing without causing a great amount of frustration. Not to mention just how much influence it had that they redid some of U2s set pieces like the caravan twice, and armored truck chase in U4.

DFresh1775d ago (Edited 1775d ago )

I'd rate it as the following.

1.) Uncharted 2
(Close to perfection of any game I've played in years. Single Player/Multiplayer/Co Op all amazing.)

2.) Uncharted 3
(On par with UC2 multiplayer/co op wise minus the kickbacks [aka killstreaks]. I really liked the Lawrence of Arabia story.)

3.) Uncharted 4
(Single player is amazing. Multiplayer was meh. Co Op had potential. Absolutely hated the health revive system it slowed down the game way too much. Always preferred the fast pace action of UC2/UC3. Made it way more fun that way. Recoil was too ridiculous that most people in lobbies would only do hip firing, using power weapons and using that OP grappling hook to melee people after dropping them. Nobody wanted to revive anyone.)

4.) Uncharted
(It's the first in the series so it's hard to judge. Though I loved the story.)

NecrumOddBoy1775d ago

I agree here but it’s also a series you can play from front to back and truly enjoy. Story-wise, they are all great and flow so well. I wish they threw both Golden Abyss and Lost Legacy on this list. Lost Legacy is the best mechanically in my opinion. You can see it’s stepping stone framework for TLOUS2.

Michiel19891775d ago

uncharted 2 is one of the few games that actually surpassed its pre-release hype.

medman1774d ago (Edited 1774d ago )

I am a single player gamer...I barely ever touch a multiplayer component. The only exceptions over the years have been the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, TLOU factions, and the Uncharted 2 multiplayer. The Uncharted 2 multiplayer saw me spend more time playing it than all my other multiplayer experiences over the years combined. That game really was a masterpiece all around.

brando0081774d ago

I agree completely, those are all stellar MP experiences, coming from another SP gamer who only occasionally gives MP some time.

Gardenia1775d ago

Come to think of it, the step between Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2 is huge. It goes from the weakest in the series to one of the best games ever made.
I think I'm going to play all of them again soon.

Ninver1775d ago

Yeah all of a sudden I've got that Uncharted itch.

Michiel19891775d ago

is multiplayer still up for the remastered trilogy? or did it never have UC2 mp?

Ninver1774d ago

@michiel1989

Not sure
