Alpha Protocol is beatable without killing anyone

Nick @ PS3Center writes:

Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming spy thriller, Alpha Protocol, has been described by producers as being all about 'open-choices'. You can chose your dialogue options, the way you carry out your missions, and even which women you want to pursue(if any). Now, the developer has revealed that you can even beat the game without killing anyone.

I thought this game was meant to be like Fallout, seems impossible that you can go through the game without killing anyone.

himdeel6039d ago

...someone always has to die. Nevertheless I'm intrigued, interested in this game, and hope it does well.

JL6039d ago

When was this ever said to be like Fallout? Did I miss something? I never read/heard anything like that. Other than the fact that it's an RPG.

This game is going to be awesome though, I think. Can't wait to try it out. Really like the different paths/choices they allow you to take. Just the idea of a 'Jason Bourne RPG' really excites me.

gauntletpython6039d ago

Wow, that's a really cool option to include... except now I can see myself getting frustrated trying to do the no kill run.

TheColbertinator6039d ago

Hope they don't make that an achievement/trophy.

gauntletpython6039d ago

LMAO, of course they will... every game with this sorta option has had a trophy for it.

James Bond kills.
Jason Bourne kills.

Sam Fisher kills.
Solid Snake kills.

Thus, Michael Thorton will kill.

One of the few 7th gen game that I'll full heartedly support for a remake.
Its a very unique RPG and deserves its faults fixed the 2nd time.

TheNamelessOne605d ago

I would be so for this. Alpha Protocol is the definition of a diamond in the rough. Before being acquired by Microsoft, Obsidian presented their ideas for a sequel, multiple times, but were always shot down. Even something simple like a remaster is very unlikely.

Still have a physical copy for my PS3. Clunky at times but I had a lot of fun with it back in the day.

Had some issues but that game was brilliant.

SheenuTheLegend730d ago

all the games in the above list are bang on. this is the only reason we need backwards compatibility and physical presense of games for the upcoming future, no matter what.

Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.

melons731d ago

yes! incredible rain effects; so good to drive along in rain with your Spotify playlist blaring

Skuletor731d ago

I really wanted a MotorStorm using the same engine, Driveclub is easily one of the best looking games on PS4 and I'm surprised they didn't even give it a PS4 Pro patch.

ravens52730d ago

Yes indeed. May just install it on my PS5. You know, physical copy and all.

monkey602730d ago

I adored Driveclub and the Bike expansion. I also loved Motorstorm. Evolution shutting down was a crime

Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.

Skuletor731d ago

I have quite a few of these. Timed licenses suck.

Terry_B730d ago (Edited 730d ago )

wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.

Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.
