WOW PS3 oblivion actually made the charts. Didn't see that coming.

Vojkan6978d ago

This is what i hate about Europe. We never get the exact numbers, just this stupid list that doesnt tell us much. Like for example we all know that GOW2 sold 800K in two weeks. Of course NA market numbers but for Europe? Who knows, maybe 100k maybe 10k...

Andronix6978d ago

It's been a month since the European launch of Playstation 3. Oblivion is the first major new release. It received 10/10 from the official PS magazine, and has been advertised in movie magazine Total Film. It's gonna sell.

Probably could have got to number 2 except bad distribution made it a little harder to find!

ReconHope6978d ago

i suprised Gears of War is no longer on the list.

MySwordIsHeavenly6977d ago

Yeah, me too...but then again...the PS3 owns Europe. The PS1 and PS2 both did...and the PSP is a lot closer to the DS there...

I like them bloody ol' tossers...they support a company with innovation...

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
