Why is it so expensive to download games on demand?
In 1971 Michael S. Hart created what we now call the ebook. He envisioned a future where people downloaded and read books on their computers, rather than wasting wood cut from dwindling forests to make physical documents. Ebooks have grown over the space of 30 years but even with the support of online giants Amazon and Sony they still fail to be embraced by most consumers.
The same situation applies to downloading films and indeed games. The digital distribution platforms Steam, OnLive and the Playstation Store want us to download more games, but since the majority of consumers still want products they can proudly display on their shelves at home, therein lies the problem. Human beings love to hoard things - it gives us a sense of ownership and status rooted by years of tradition.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
