. . .when he was asked for a hint on his next game, he answered. .'sorry, no Kane do'. Twisted Metal ahoy.

Blaze9296143d ago

what the hell is Jaffe trying to do build up hype? Just announce the game already or shut up until you can. This has been going on for way too long now with the "soon" "soon" etc etc and now theres a timeframe.

Just wanna hear those two sweet words confirmed, Twisted Metal. Hopefully its a real Twisted Metal game that takes full advantage of the PS3 and not like some, budget title or something.

socomnick6143d ago

Yea everyone knows what his next game is. But does anyone seriously care, jaffe acts like hes a great dev and that everyone wants to know what his game is but frankly he is only succeeding at annoying us by giving out tiny hints. When it is announced nobody will give a flying f@ck.

Major_Tom6143d ago (Edited 6143d ago )

You won't give a flying f*ck if twisted metal is announced? You're a joke dude.

hay6143d ago

New Twisted Metal will be Da Bomb. Market has a huge hole for this kind of action.

I still think it's going to be a new twisted metal ....

inbfour6143d ago

I really hope so. Twisted Metal 2 was the first game I owned and I played the crap out of it.

I just need my Twisted Metal fix. There really hasn't been a great TM game since Black.

PLAYINB3YOND6144d ago

I think we can be 99.9% sure it's a new Twisted Metal for PS3, the only thing we can argue about is when it will be officially unveiled. Will it be at Sony's 3hour Gamescom conference or at Tokyo Game Show. I say Gamescom, whats your thoughts?

skatezero2466144d ago

I think it may be around tgs because I think Sony's going to announce the ps3 slim along with a price drop and talk more about the psp go at gamescom .... it would explain thier long conference

N4GAddict6144d ago

Dunno, Jaffe tweeted that it will be December at the earliest. So maybe the Video Game Awards?

LordMarius6143d ago

I dont think Twisted Metal appeals to Japan, so dont expect it at TGS,
and ^^^ I agree with that just like Uncharted 2

grantps36144d ago

jaffe, STFU and give me the game now

freitox6143d ago

The internet. for you. in a nutshell.

DragonWarrior_46143d ago

Like we all dont know what this game is gonna be. He accidently slipped when Patcher asked him about it during the bonus round they had together. It was funny. Jaffe gave patcher the look that was pretty much saying. STFU! lol.

Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try

Christopher322d ago

Banishers was dragged down by the need to go back to old areas multiple times.

GhostScholar323d ago

Also if you bought it at launch and couldn’t deal with all the bugs it’s a totally different game now

stupidusername323d ago

Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.

darthv72323d ago

Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...

dveio323d ago (Edited 323d ago )

I think it's an okay decision or happening.

iirc, wasn't there even a new and probably last update coming soon announced recently?

I've never played 2077, neither. (I am still a bit mad about their ... well, anyway.)

But I think it can't get better to play that game, or any game for that matter, in a 100% complete, fully updated build.

DivineHand125323d ago

Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.

yeastori323d ago

Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.

shinXseijuro323d ago

Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

xHeavYx323d ago

According to the article, it's just the base game, but the DLC will be 30% off

TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Cacabunga605d ago

Last one on ps4 wasn’t good at all.
Hoping for some good reboot or remake of the first 3

Dagexon605d ago

You mean the one on ps3?

Cacabunga605d ago

Yes i do, thanks! I realized too late couldn’t edit

Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.

InUrFoxHole605d ago

Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series

TiredGamer605d ago (Edited 605d ago )

TM1 and 2 are time period classics. They were a bit rough, ugly, and grungy, but they felt right during the time period they were released and they scratched that early console “death match” itch before FPS games would completely swallow that market.

Many great memories with friends playing couch co-op and 1v1. Short, and quick-and-dirty gameplay that we returned to over and over. I’d buy a remake or proper remastering of the first two games day one.

InUrFoxHole605d ago

Lol, nice! I remember having the tiger handheld or watch..

FinalFantasyFanatic605d ago

I played those so much as I kid, I bought the Twisted Metal games that were on PSN as Playstation Classics, wow, they feel clunky by today's standards, they could really use the remake/remaster treatment.

UltimateOwnage605d ago

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.

Snookies12605d ago

Black was the pinnacle in my opinion. I adored TM1 and TM2, for sure. But Black brought it to a whole new level of awesome.
