GamersWishList: Almost 4 years after launching, the PS3 and the Xbox 360 are still embroiled in a battle of 'Who's better?'
This coming holiday season will mark the 4th year that the Xbox 360 has been released, and the third time around the sun for the PS3. Looking back at what happened and looking ahead at what will happen, I spent time with two of our insiders looking to weigh in on the great debate. In one corner, we have the wily veteran gamer Nightshade. His well rounded gaming history, from pen and paper gaming to today's finest RPGs represented on the 360, Nightshade is a gamer who appreciates substance over style, and is sure to get every last bit of enjoyment out of all his games. In the other corner, we have the strapping young lad, Kid TD0t, looking to prove once and for all that the name of the game in today's tech world is "If you ain't first, you're last."

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
The last few comments in that whole article sum it up:
Verdict: We all win. When there is competition in business, everyone wins. With the gaming market as it is, there are enough choices to satisfy everyone. From the hardcore gamer, to the tech head, to the casual weekend warrior, today's market features enough variety to make everyone happy, and choice...is never a bad thing.
Hasn't even been 3 years since the PS3 launched, and barely more than 2 years since the PS3 launched in Europe. PS3 is moving along smoothly in terms of sales and game lineup considering the time frame since launch and the price point.
xbox launched a year ahead but in the time that PS3 launched abox had a lead of around 7 million consoles, which PS3 had reduced to around 5.5 million consoles - but i nthe last year the lead has since risen to over 8 million conoles ...
Competition is great ...
