The Tony Hawk Ride skateboard peripheral will be colored white, not black as shown at E3, says the game's director.
The news isn't so much the color itself, but the reason why it's white. In an interview with Gamesindustry.biz, Robomondo's Josh Tsui said that the black Ride board that Wired.com used with Tony Hawk at E3 isn't the final product, and that the developers decided to go with white because it's more "consumer-friendly" and "iPod-like."
Tsui calls the black version the "Darth Vader of skateboards."
Looking back at gaming history often throws up some questionable things - including awful games, bad consoles, and terrible peripherals.

Any ways, I haven't truly enjoyed a THPS title since the underground games back during the ps2/xbox/GC era. I hope if they make one, they try to use that same formula that made the first 6 games so fun.
I think the series went downhill when they had all the jackass characters in the game..
I support this article. THPS2 - best Tony Hawk EVAH. The franchise needs to drop the gimmicks and get back to what matters - addictive, thrilling skateboarding.
