I'd go for for the ps3 version of a multiplayer gamer because playing online is free and lag-free and it's almost always superior (burnout paradise, DS3 for fighting games). Did i mention lag-free? that's the deal break -- if you have a choice. I won't even mention the hostile xbl community, which is comprised of foul-mouthed tweens.

There are a few multiplatform games that's cool on the xbox (exclusive DLC, which is only good if you have more money to spend)but I choose to collect platinum trophies instead of gamerscore. A platinum trophy is an instant representation of how you have mastered a game. This is something to brag about; unlike a high gamerscore which could mean you just played a lot of games half-through. In the end, both don't mean anything in the real-world but the trophy system is clearly the better one.

so the ps3 has a lot of great exclusive and more is on the horizon. the 360 stopped releasing great ones back in 2008 and the up-coming ones are better played on a PC. in the end, the real question is: What is the 360 good for?

I own both 360 and PS3, i bought a 360 when it came out but was still in love with my PS2 back then, sold that 360 when the elite came out, sold the elite then bought another 360 Q3 2008.

I buy 97% of all my multiplatform games on PS3, i use my 360 mostly for exclusives. So no, i wouldn't say the PS3 is only good for exclusives, not at all - its personal preference..

Mirrors Edge-It was a first day buy for me on the 360 but then it got RROD and had to buy the PS3 version instead.

Unreal Tournament III-I got it for the mods and free maps but it was not supported at all by Epic so it lost its luster.

bf1943-A friend offered it to me for free on the PS3 so I could not refuse.

Every single other multiplatform game I have is proudly on my PC or 360.

I have all consoles ,but can't play Xbox 360 anymore because the RROD , and the warranty end 3 months before that.
I just bought Exclusive games for each consoles because I didn't buy any multi-platform game that was on PC too. If not , I played it on 360.

i got a 360 first because the PS3 was delayed in europe, sold it when the PS3 was finally released, got a elite recently because i can easily hack the console and download games (people still dont no how big and easy this is)

Not really, yes in IMO it does have the best exclusives and yes at times multi. platform games are better on 360 because of exclusive DLC but no PS3 is not a exclusive only console its balanced out enough that we the gamers enjoy it, Sony does seem to focus more on exclusives which is why PS3 exclusives have been getting the best reviews and scores but its not like Sony blocked out multi. its just PS3 users prefer getting an exclusive over a multiplatform game.

I only play exclusives on my PS3. I just prefer the 360 more overall, but that being said, the exclusives I do play on PS3 are among the best games I've ever played.

i agree with you im not paying for a 360 online service . its not lag free which it should be. it has alot of problems which it shouldn't. If it has ANY type of online, even just leaderboards, I`m getting it on 360 no question. If I were to purchase MW2 this winter, give me good reasons why I should get it on ps3 instead of 360. That`s what I thought.

I have to say there is only one reason why multiplat sell better on 360 and thats the install base. Proportionally, they sell equal or in some cases better on the ps3 (RE5, Street Fighter, Burnout, Devil May Cry etc)

In fact, even with the exclusive DLC Microsoft boasted so much about for GTAIV, the game still sold to roughly the same proportion of 360 and ps3 users.

everyone knows they are both equal in terms of power, both are based on 4 years old tech, both of them can only reliably handle 720p that with almost no AA or filtering. Ps3 has more exclusives. most of the games on the 360 can be played on the PC.

imo any serious gamer should only get a ps3 for its exclusives and get a good pc for all the 3rd party games, no need of an Xbox.

My PS3 is used for exclusives and Blu-ray movies. And for me it is all about my prefernce of controller and better online experiance. Graphically they are pretty much the same in my opinion.

Same here. I bought the PS3 for just LittleBigPlanet. After that, I only bought exclusives for it. I don't even bother looking at multiplats for the PS3, because 98% of them look and run best on the 360. Confirmed every day, over and over again.

I remember back in the day where I had two options 1. You Wanted to play Mario or 2. You Wanted to play Sonic, I picked the Sega Genesis (even though I remember having an SNES at one point) either way games themselves are good but exclusive titles test out the capabilities of the console themselves and usually don't start flame-bait topics, such as well Doom on the Sega Genesis 32X addon and the SNES if you know anything the Sega port of the game was awful due to the music being terrible and half the levels were taken out from the original game from the PC.

I personally remember the big slogan for Genesis's time "Genesis does what Nintendon't" big smack right at Nintendo's face but look at Sega now out of the Hardware competition.

Imagine with me people a world dominated by one console no Wii, no PS3, no 360, no PC. You know what that is a Monopoly! Competition itself is the spice of life PS3 needs 360 as much as the 360 needs the PS3, Wii well.... thats another story.

PC vs xbox or ps3 is debatable since there is a clear difference between 720(lil AA and no filtering) vs 1080+ (8xAA full filtering effects) and higher fps.

i agree with the title exclusive wise yes its the best out of the 3 consoles pritty much the same quality with multi plats. Except the odd hick up dont forget developers are only beginning to know how much the ps3 can handle hence why games like gow3 and kz2 have been in development for years, multi plats will do better on 360 as its been out longer and easy to develop.
Multi plat developers take 2 years max on a 360/ps3 game therefore games will perform better on the 360 because they know the ins and outs of the console not like the ps3 each game developers do they find new ways to make a ps3 game look and perform better

No multiplats end up looking the same or the difference is soo small you wont notice it on your first play through unless you go to Eurogamer where they see 1 pixel out of place on the PS3 verson its an automatic fail and gives it to 360. Sony's 1st and 2nd party are competing with themselves and 3rd party games. There is alot of games to chose from on the PS3 pass couple of years, so then of course the sales are going to be thin when you have more varity to chose from. Sony knows this thats why you see them not so concerned about sales but more about variety and quaility in their games.

When you starve your gaming core they will eat up whatever you give them so in turn you will have that one big game that will sell millions or higher 3rd party games sold cause the good exclusive is not there.

I buy games mostly on my PS3 if they are multiplatform titles the only way I will buy a title for my 360 is if its an exclusive like Gears of War or if I think it has good online and my friends on my 360 are playing it. Most of the time if I have it for the Ps3 its to boost my trophies and its the only console I am left alone on with out getting annoying game invites thats when I can sit down and fully enjoy a game in piece and quiet.

bought the ps3 to play killzone, metal gear, and resistance, but other than those three games I haven't put anything in it accept blu rays. It defiantly plays some good blu rays. 360 gets 20x the play time, that's for sure.

hmmm.. i enjoy lots of multiplat games on PS3, eg' Prototype just recently. There is nothing wrong with it.

I used to prefer the 360 for games until it RROD'd 3 times on me so I said f*** it. I didn't even play it long and somtimes I wouldn't touch it for a week, come home and turn it on to see RROD. So I started buying everything for the PS3 only saving the few exclusives for 360. Almost all of my friends now own a PS3 anyways. I am actually quite pleased with the PS3 as well. It didn't start out too well but now it seems to be doing a hell of a lot better. I stopped bashing the PS3 a long time ago. I realized it's getting old. What ev though. I hevent had one issue with the PS3... thats all that matters.
