Gaming Indians: Rock Band: Unplugged Review

Despite the cumbersome nature of the gameplay, it does become familiar as you play on and you will get used to the controls. But really, this is never going to be a game that will have you hooked for hours on end. It's got a good soundtrack and you don't need to carry around a peripheral with you to play it when you're out.

So Rock Band: Unplugged is a decent game for the commute to work or for 15-20 minute bursts every now and then. But if you're looking for anything more than that, you won't find it here.

The Daily Five: Best Bathroom Games

"We’re all on the can at least once a day, and it’s always a short escape from the rigors of our day-to-day lives. Time spent on the porcelain throne varies on the person, but if you own a portable game system then there’s a good chance that you’ve brought them with you on many occasions." - Joe Garcia

SBG | The 10 best PSP games to own forever

SBG: "The Best to Own Forever series isn’t about what’s great right now. Good list. Wanting to get Corpse Party on my Vita.

Though I would add Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (if you can read Japanese, then portable 3'rd) and Phantasy Star Portable 2, which had a very entertaining story behind it.

I loved my PSP, but when I got my Vita I gave it to a friend who loves JRPG's but never had the money for one.

The lack of Jeanne D'Arc on this list is disturbing. That is the best PSP game I've ever played.

The lack of peace walker is disturbing. That is one of the best games I have ever played period. Kind of a mediocre list imo.

gran turismo psp should be there since it took almost forever to be released!

and also midnight club 3 DUB edition since its a full PS2 game in the PSP!

While it's by no means an amazing game, people should play Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble. It's the closest thing to a 3D River City Ransom you're going to get.

And besides, who doesn't want to have an eye-laser showdown with a Japanese punkass schoolboy?

Games That (Probably) Shouldn't Have Gone Portable (Modojo)

Chris Buffa (Modojo): For the most part, video game publishers know what works and what doesn't on a portable system. Terrible games are a part of life, but it's rare to see a bad fit. At the end of the day, companies know a handheld's limitations.

I love portable games but some of these make sense I think. Rock Band Unplugged? Shakes head...

Buff10445499d ago

Yeah...they tried to capitalize on the series' popularity by porting it to every possible system. Such is the industry. :)
