Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

LucasArts gave Jango Fett his own game in 2002, and it pulled Star Wars into a much dirtier, rougher, and more interesting corner of the galaxy.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.
Holy rap Natal/E3/lineup gave the 360 a boost as expected.
PlayStation 2 152.7K
PlayStation 3 164.7K
PSP 163.5K
Xbox 360 240.6K
Wii 361.7K
Nintendo DS 766.5K

LOL, Vgchartz was spot on.
EDIT:As of the time of writing the above comment, i had 4 bubbles.I seriously don't know what is up with the bubble system on this site because i had 9 bubbles for a full year. Then march it dropped to 4 then went up to 7, dropped back to 4 a month ago and now i only have 1.They really want me to open a second account, but i will try and get this back up again.
Anyway, good numbers for both the 360 and DS, as they are the only consoles to post year on year growth.PSP saw a more than 50% decline and even more for the PS3 though it would be fair to point out that the PS3 sold over 400,000 June 08 due to the release of MGS4.Wii seems to be slowing down but i think it's because everyman and his dog already have one.
wooooooot, free night of entertainment and drama. It's like reality TV... but more interesting.
I think what we on N4G need to understand is that we're living in a bubble. The rest of the gaming world isn't as fascinated with statistics, graphics, and horsepower like we are.
