Space Bust-a-Move coming soon for DS

TPG writes, "I have long held that a winning move for any game that you're looking to freshen up is to put it in space. Space Bust-a-Move is obviously Bust-a-Move in space. That means that if the recent trends are still in play, Space Bust-a-Move should be wrecking up the joint, sucka. Space Bust-a-Move from Taito promises to bring Bust-a-Move action to your DS, with features including multiple game modes, mini-games, and most excitingly, 4-player online play!"

It is fun!!! My wife likes it and she is a serious puzzle game freak. She can whoop my azz at dr mario any day. This version looks to be as fun so long as you dont have to use the stylus. My thought on stylus shooting is if you played magnetica...you think you are shooting it in one spot only to have the marble go somewhere else. No fun when that happens. I like zuma type aiming where you rotate using the pad and fire with the button.

Well...that reply went in a different direction (pun intended).

I might actually pick this up. 4 player online multiplayer FTW!

Keep the DS games coming Square Enix.

Diehard GameFAN: What’s Worth Keeping…on the Nintendo DS?

Diehard GameFAN: Welcome back to the fourth installment of “What’s Worth Keeping?” where we help me pare my game collection down to twenty games per system. After all, I own pretty much every system, handheld or console out there and there’s no chance of me ever playing all of these games again, so it make sense to keep only the ones I know I’ll come back to regularly, giving other gamers a chance to own (and hopefully play) the titles I jettison. So far we’ve looked at the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox and Sony Playstation. This time we’re going to look at a handheld – specifically the Nintendo DS.

Man, If I had to review all the shovelware and crap this guy has had to for the DS, I'd have trouble trying to think of good games for the system too.

GamingTrend: Space Bust-A-Move Review

GamingTrend writes: "Several puzzle games have a "Match 3" mechanic to them. Some more recent examples are Bejeweled and Puzzle Quest. One of the earliest games with this kind of mechanic was Bust-A-Move, which premiered in the US in 1994 in the arcades featuring the characters from Bubble Bobble. Since then several versions have shown up on most of the major and portable consoles. The series is still going strong with the latest iteration, Space Bust-A-Move on the Nintendo DS."

DreamStation: Space Bust-A-Move Review

DreamStation writes: "Space Bust-A-Move for Nintendo DS has you going on an adventure again with your dragon friends, Bub and Bob. This time they are on a mission to collect "Cosmo Bubbles" in order to stop the evil Devilin from taking over the galaxy and they need your help. Travel from planet-to-planet busting bubbles as they move down the screen. Match three or more bubbles and you knock them out just like in Tetris, Bejeweled, Lumines, and lots of other puzzle games."
