Thunderbolt: Delta Force Xtreme 2 Review

Back in the day, the Delta Force games were the hot thing for PC. Featuring large scale multiplayer battles on impressively rendered maps, the series broke ground with its voxel graphics technology, networking, and attention to bullet physics. Unfortunately, the series fell by the wayside when intricate polygons and shiny textures became the norm; the series scored a moderate success with Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, a game that propelled the series into more modern territory.

Idd, not only Delta force, but also would love to see an F-22 Lighting IV or an Armored Fist, or a new Commache game!

MW2 has the logo as well why didn't they sew back then? Not like they could have missed MW2 with all the news that was on it lol.

Need a new delta force game please!

iamnsuperman5147d ago (Edited 5147d ago )

Wow that's crazy. Delta force is so widely used (kind of like saying hoover is technically wrong as it is a vacuum cleaner and hoover is a brand name). Interesting to see how this will play out. Well played Novalogic

gatormatt805146d ago

Really?? Do that many people really call a vacuum cleaner a Hoover, even if it is a different brand like Dyson or other brands?? I've had a Hoover and a now a Dyson, yet I still call it a vacuum. I didn't know that it is more commonly called a Hoover...

UnSelf5146d ago

yea his analogy is a lil off. something more appropriate is like ppl calling all petroleum jelly products Vaseline

Hufandpuf5147d ago

"Courthouse News reports Novalogic sent Activision a cease-and-desist letter in May 2011 and a second in December, but both were ignored."

They'll go bankrupt because no one is listening to the complaints.

Dovahkiin5147d ago

Generally something not to be ignored, let's hope this teaches Activision a small lesson.

Digital Battle: Delta Force Xtreme 2 Review - Xtremely boring

Digital Battle writes: "Developer NovaLogic's Delta Force series are spanning some 10 games, with the latest one being Delta Force Xtreme 2. In Xtreme 2 (ridiculous title, by the way), is the sequel to 2005's Delta Force Xtreme, and pretty much continues the Delta Force franchise, even using the same engine, which has seen little improvements in a decade. Actually, the first thing you'll notice is just how bad the graphics are - if the game was released five years ago, it still would be "mediocre" by that standard. Well, at least it'll run smoothly on any machine. But your eyes will probably hurt for the sheer ugliness of the game."
