With yesterday's shooting at Virginia Tech grabbing headlines and the flood of theories as to why Cho Seung Hui killed 33 people bringing the agenda-driven rats from the rising sewers, you might be surprised at what talk show host Rush Limbaugh, so called America's Truth Detector, had to say about the topic of videogame violence.
RUSH: "(sigh) Let's say you're right. Not every video gamer goes out and murders 33 people on the college campus though. There's more to this than that. We can find all kinds of societal problems and ills, but the fact of the matter is that whatever you would look at as a bad influence -- video games as you mentioned -- it may desensitize people, but it doesn't turn everybody into mass murderers."

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
a little surprised to see rush limbaugh somewhat defending video games...
I would almost rather him on the other side. Logic would then tell me I'm right. This is like having the devil support one of your causes.
Than you RUSH!!!
Personally, I've always liked Rush. I don't always agree with him, but most of the time, he's right...
that's a fair statement , and its true. certainly unexpected from him.
Must never listen to conservative radio programs, because this is EXACTLY what all conservatives would say on their programs - not just Rush's shows.
Conservatives believe that we are responsible for our own actions, not that someone or something caused us to do it. We make our own choices. Liberals would have you believe that we are mindless and not capable of tending to ourselves so we need the Federal Government to protect us from ourselves all the while redistributing our money.
That is why the biggest opponents of video games are the likes of Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman. Not the ones that defend our rights to play them like Cheney and Rush Limbaugh.
