Chris Donlan explores the puzzle game that puts physics first.

Kyle of Insert-Disc looks at the indie puzzle game Chains.
"Puzzle games that require you to match three colors have been done to death at this point, but every once in a while someone does something interesting with the idea. Chains is such a game, but rather than settling with one slightly different mechanic, Chains does something new every level."

The game's multi-colored orbs can be linked with others of their type – connect more than three, and they'll disappear. A simple concept, but the developers have toyed successfully with the formula, requiring you to alternate your play style to clear all 20 levels. Some call for sedate consideration, others are click-fests. All are charming and innovative. For the price, it's easy to recommend.
